I've been researching since early 1970's.|
I love this site & the many volunteers who
make it possible.
Suggest a correction, please!
If I duped it, I'll delete it.
If you have more info, I'll add it.
If I typed something wrong, I'll fix it.
If it's your relative or friend (and not my direct line :-)), I'll transfer it, unless it's a family I am researching for friends or family!
You can freely use any pictures I have put on here for personal use or for your website.
Have a Blessed Day!

Family Bible and an obituary which I was told was not appropriate to include. Find A Grave removed it. I'm a genealogist and he was family and I did it at the request of a family member.

Thank you for supplying the name of your source. There seems to be a misunderstanding because all I said was I would appreciate a source. Apparently that was considered rude. It was in no way rude. It was me saying in rather concise language a source would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for furnishing the name of the publication. It does help. Is it against the rules to cite it in the memorial?
|Sharon||Thank you very much for the link|
I think you're doing a fabulous job especially putting up with rudeness from some people, and your kind responses back. None of us get paid for doing this and rudeness is totally unacceptable. If people don't like what they see then they should use the edit function to suggest a correction instead of complaining about what's there. Keep up your excellent work and thank you for the amount of time you have spent in helping others, it is very much appreciated.

I would appreciate it greatly if you'd put sources in your memorials that have no photos of stones. This could aid researching tremendously.

I can't be positive, but I belieive this young man was the son of John D. Burns and Mary Cathering Bonta. I have not found a Samuel as the son of Jordan. I may, of course, be wrong, but here is just one record that I used in my search.
1860 United States Federal Census Name: Samuel J Burnes
Birth Year: abt 1858
Birth Place: Kentucky
Home in 1860: District 2, Mercer, Kentucky
Post Office: Cornishville
Family Number: 63
Value of real estate: View image
John D Burnes 26
Catharine Burnes 23
Elizabeth J Burnes 5
Samuel J Burnes 2

This man does not have a birthdate, but I looked it up and it is 1820
Just wanted to thank you for adding the beautiful headstone photo for Jesse Gritton in Banta Graveyard and for freely sharing it. I may never get to visit in person so I especially appreciated your personal notes about the headstone and the poor condition of the cemetery. I wish more people would take the time to describe what they are seeing.

Hi Yvonne, Long time since I have talked with you. Hope you are well. Emma is my Great Aunt that you so kindly helped me to find. I would love to add some information to her write up if you do not mind., or if you would like to transfer her Memorial to me that would be great. Getting on up there in years myself and trying to get things cleared up. Thanks so much for all your help in the past. Leah Moore
