Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy now since 2003, and I feel that Find A Grave is a very helpful tool. I've met a few cousins through memorials posted here which facilitates research sharing. I have obtained valuable bits of information and even pictures from them that our family didn't have, and we still stay in touch.

Most of the entries I've been submitting are for the area of Indiana between Monroe and Marion county. I hope to span out once I learn enough information about previous generations to give at least a decent outline of our ancestors. I hope my offering will help someone else as well. On that note, I hereby give permission for anyone to use any photo or memorabilia that I own and have posted to any memorial for their genealogical purposes. That's what this is all about after all isn't it, finding our roots?

Corwin Campbell/Charles Parker
Hi Katherine,

I am researching a Charles Corwin Parker (per Death Certificate) and trying to tie him to his parents. You have a Corwin Campbell listed as son of Charles Wesley and Nancy Campbell. Corwin is a fairly specific name and I'm wondering if Corwin Campbell and Charles Corwin Parker may be one in the same. On the 1880 census Corwin Parker is listed as "servant" with a William M and Susan Jordan Dillon. His father is listed as from Indiana and mother from Ohio which fits with your memorial information. I have learned that children of the poor were often indentured as a way of keeping them from being homeless etc. I have not found an 1870 census with Charles Wesley and Susan with a Charles or Corwin child. I also find it interesting that you list Susan's mother as a Jordan and the wife of William Dillon is also a Jordan... Can you shed any light on this?

Thank you! Charlotte

RE: Elizabeth Deckard
Laura I had not forgotten about you. Could you give me a little more information. What was your grandpa's name, birth date etc..
There was a Elizabeth Deckard that was born in 1838 in Indiana. She first married a William Covey and then Jesse Smith.
Not sure if that is in the time frame you are looking for tho. I will check closer once I get some dates from you.

RE: Eddie Boruff
Hi Laura,

Eddie is no relation to me. If you would like to take over his memorial just let know. I most likely would have some information you need about the Smiths and Deckards. My grandma Mable was a Smith and my Grandpa Walter was a Deckard. Grandma grew up on Allen's Creek across from the cemetery. Let me know who you are looking for and I will see if I can help.
