PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB to send corrections, additional information, to connect family members, or for anything else regarding a specific memorial. It makes it so much quicker & easier to install the changes. If I have entered the memorials of some of your direct family & you would like to manage that individual, please request it. I believe that they should be cared for by family.

I have been compiling the information about all of my ancestors for more than 30 yrs. Like most of us, I wished that I had asked more questions before my parents & grandparents were gone. Fortunately, some of them had been given copies of their ancestor's genealogy, collected by earlier researchers. This became the starting "core" of my data. My family connections are: Walker, Kilpatrick, Coffman, Rodgers, Miller, Jones & Turnley. Most of which I have back 6+ generations.

My family research has taken us to dozens of libraries, cemeteries & locations in over 6 states, all that were more than 500 miles from present "home" in the mid-west. This as well as many, many hours on the computer surfing for connecting genealogy ties.

As my research data became creditable, I started sharing with others & submitting photos & data to county web sites that had "user-friendly" sites.

I have also shared my research reports with many of my distant cousins to hopefully encourage them to ask about their other ancestors lines.

I have always tried to publish only those facts that I can prove & document where that info came from. Plus accept & investigate any corrections other collaborators reveal.

I'm now trying to concentrate on "connections" & "edits" that make the deceased better linked with their parents, siblings, spouse(s) & children. If I can find where they were born/died, maiden/full names, I'll enter the info I can find & prove. To date I've submitted several thousand that have been accepted.

Plus, anytime I can find & submit the "Map" GPS coordinates & address for a cemetery, that it's location is "unknown" or "lost", as well as the driving directions. I've submitted more than 4,500 cemetery 'edits' to FAG staff for their approval. Additionally, I've submitted more than 5,500 of the Map GPS locations of the cemeteries & churches, predominately in W. Tenn. & N. Miss, to 'Google Map'; so others can find them, that don't use/know FAG. I'm working on this & genealogy almost every day.

Hope the info I submit assist others to get better connected with their extended families & ancestors; those they personally knew & many that they never heard of.
