I am an amateur historian and see this work as one way to document and publish some of the "history" of the every day heros who lived and died in their local communities. You may feel free to use the information or pictures, without attribution, if they help further your genealogy work in any way. Sharing the information is the whole point.I would be happy to amend, remove or transfer ownership of a memorial to anyone who requests me to do so.Thank you for letting me share this small piece of your family history.Brian

Edit of a family member
Hi Brian,
I have sent in multiple edits for a family member, just wondering if you are still managing the memorial, I not, I would like it transferred to me.
Please let me know if you receive this message.

Fam Croegaert
Hi Brian,
The family Croegaert also appears in my family tree. I see there is a Camiel Mell Croegaert.
Born 29 Oct 1893 in Annawan.
Although the name is written everywhere as
Comiel Mell Croegaert
"Comiel" stand for the Flemish name Camiel or Kamiel. this Case it would be Camiel.
I know it looks strange but there is no Flemish name that they would have given their child being Comiel. I guess it's in the pronunciation between the English and the Flemish and what the clerk heard when they registered him by birth.
So I would go by Camiel, this is a typical Belgian name. Kind regards
Werner Vols.

Thank you so much for your lightening fast edits. I am always thrilled to connect family members together. Even though the Deethardts are not direct family they are related by marriage.
Thanks again for your help.

RE: Elizabeth Monreal
Hi Brian,

Thanks very much for changing her middle name, it's one of the few connections I have to her as I didn't have the joy of meeting her. My mom said you were close to my Tio Nando. You probably know more about them than I do, so I greatly appreciate how well you've kept up their memorials, so I am okay with you keeping them. I've been actively working on Ancestry to attempt to know more about my family tree so this website and everything you've added has helped. We recently went to the cemetery and the laid down flowers for everyone. I miss my family very much and wish I had been given more time with them.

Elizabeth Monreal
Would you be so kind as to adjust the spelling of my grandma's middle name? It should be Rachael. Thanks!
