(Updated June 30, 2017)|
The weather is definitely nice and warm (and very wet :) ) and that means it's graving time :)
There aren't as many things that need done here in Douglas County but I will see what I can do this summer.
As far as Atchison County, I am planning on trying to hit a couple of cemeteries a few times to see if I can help cut the backlog of requests (namely Mt Vernon, Oak Hill, and maybe Sunset Memory Gardens, if I have time).
(Update 6/30: I have already made 1 trip up to see what I could do at Oak Hill Cemetery, and am planning on at least 1 more trip there in the near future)
If you need information about any burials in any of the above cemeteries, please see the cemetery main page for contact info. I do not have direct access to any of the records.
Travel is an issue so it may take me a while to do any of the above. Please bear with me :)
Depending on how the weather, and other things, go this year, I am also planning maybe 1 trip over to Sugar Creek Cemetery (in Rushville) to see if I can find some of the recent requests. There are also over 300 memorials without photos, and I plan on seeing if I can get some of those. We'll see how that goes.
Anyway, take care and have a graving summer :)
If anyone needs to contact me about any of my previous work (or info that was on my profile before), please feel free to email me.
Have a great year :)

Oh gosh Franz, I will try too. I do so many will have to look up the info again seems my short term memory has kicked me. It the name sounds familiar and I know I wrote to you but can not remember right off the top of my head what the problem was...sorry. Hope you are well

Mt Vernon cem.
Hope you have a great summer. My computer is weird and I cannot submit edits easily with it.
Thought you might fix this for me please as I am linking the whole Saggs family (or trying to) together. I do this a lot and is really time consuming but is nice when they are all together.
Here is the problem you originally made them and then transferred them to someone else that has their messages disabled.
You made two memorials on Jul 1, 2010 for the same person. So I can understand how this happened but need to eliminate one will fill in and let you chose how you want to do it and will give you the info for her. I already put a link to her husband under the correct name for her which is the one on the subject line.

You are very welcome!

Hi Franz, I saw that you have been working on a map for the Sumner Cemetery at Atchison. I was wondering if you know if there is a stone for Ollie and James or if the graves are unmarked. I live in California so it is impossible for me to get to the cemetery to check it out. If you do have a picture of their stones I would be so grateful if you would send it to me if it can't be posted to find a grave. thank you in advance for any help you can give me on this. Good to hear again from you. And thanks especially for all you have done, helping family researchers do their work more easily. I have not been taking pictures at Atchison for awhile. Coming up on my 85th birthday, my wife in a local nursing home, I'm slowing down a bit. Now having Newspapers.com (including many of the Winchester and Atchison papers on line) keeps me rather busy updating, etc. Thanks again and good to hear from you.
