Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in rural Nebraska, on a farm with a family cemetery, but didn't know much about family history, I think that started my interest in both genealogy and cemeteries. Began work on the family tree 30+ years ago, and it is still growing.

Findagrave is a great site, but there is still a lot of work to be done. I'm into photography, so try to put as many marker pictures on Find A Grave as possible. I've added more than 2000 to a local cem.

I keep finding our relatives, many recently added to Findagrave, found one that was added 3 days before I did the search! I will gladly turn over memorials of your relatives, unless they are more closely related to us.

Unfortunately, some individuals seem to be very uncooperative, they will not turn over the maintenance of a memorial OR add information that is provided to them. It appears that they are in a race to start short memorials, with little information, and are looking only at the total number.

A big "Thank You" to all the cooperative people that I've found on this site!

Jim
PERMISSION GRANTED TO USE ANY PHOTOS OF MINE
*** my dad is no longer on Find-a-Grave very often (however he is still very much alive!). I would be happy to make sure he gets the message if you would like a memorial transferred to you if you just leave him a message with the memorial number and your contributor number. Thank you and sorry for any delays. Our family memorials will be transferred to someone else in the family so if we are more closely related I may decline. ***

RE: Best and Crown Hill cem
76 is fine with Best cemetery. I definitely did not want the whole lot of 253. I had Loyal Best down to obtain his obituary next time I go to Lincoln anyway. The Nebraska State Historical Society in Lincoln (next to the UNL Student Union) has Madison Star-Mail newspapers on hand that are microfilm. I truly try to enhance each Find a Grave I create or are transferred to me. I am not into numbers, but quality - providing a meaningful legacy to those individuals. As for the 2 in Crown Hill do what your dad wants. No rush! I have summer obligations. Thus would look at them closer later fall/next winter.

RE: Re: edits for
Hi Janet,
No I am not related to the Best family. Just been assisting in the location of former Madison High School grads for the upcoming 150th city of Madison celebration August 18th to 20th along with locating living grads for the Multi-Class alumni banquet on the evening of August 19th that has not a happened for six years. I would be honor to take on any of your father's in the Best Cemetery or Crown Hill cemetery. My passion is for Crown Hill at Madison, but would be diligent in upgrading the Best Cemetery and be glad to transfer them to family members if they request. Only 58 of the 165 I have created and managed are relatives plus the additional 22 of 30 family members I requested. 8 were dumped on me. I have learned when I have no interest in people dumping on me to transfer it right back. Therefore, about how many does your dad maintain in Best Cemetery and possibly if any from Crown Hill Cemetery. Thank you for contacting me and trying to move these to responsible / interested people.

Hi Jim -- I to am not related but I have been a contributor for 15 years and have had a number of memorials transferred to me. So if you want to trans a bunch of them that is fine with me.

Relative or not, I would love to have whoever you give me. I am finally slowing down just a little and have the time to really get into this. I also have thought a lot about the Reimers. With the S on the end. I know there are many people that change their last names a little bit. I cannot think of any Reimers that we are related to, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some. I believe I have seen it in some of the genealogy stuff I have researched, but nothing I have as yet verified.
Thank you for everything!!

Frank Woodard
My great grandfather was Frank Woodard. My grandmother was born in Louisiana in 1909. He left the area shortly after her birth. We have no information about him after that time. Could we possible be referring to the same Frank Woodard.
Thank you for any help that you can give.
