Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been into genealogy online since 2001, but had always had an interest before all these technological advances. Now that most of my ancestors are 'sourced' at Ancestry.com, I'm attempting to finish each member with a pictorial record of their final resting place. I thoroughly enjoy this jigsaw-puzzle called family tree making and would love it if I could help anyone else out in their genealogical journey.

Currently (fall '11 - now), I'm in the process of photo-documenting a couple of the local cemeteries in El Dorado County. All of the internments I enter for these I'm no relation to. If you want me to transfer management, I'm willing to do so. Just ask :)

I am extremely passionate about what I do for Find A Grave. Although, merely a volunteer, the end results are so much more gratifying. Connecting loved ones with those looking for them is the most rewarding for me.

With the many gold country pioneer cemeteries I've plodded through in recent years, it just makes me want to identify each plot even more and with accuracy.

I'll have to say that one of the cemeteries that made my jaw drop in beauty was Forest Lawn, Glendale. I've coined it "city of the dead" because its population is over 10,000... five of which are my ancestors.

Andersons, Georgetown Cemetery
Lori,

I wonder whether you have any information about William Carey Anderson, whose grave you have a picture of.

I ask because I have a dead end in my Anderson ancestors. After several years, I am grasping at straws!

Thank you, and happy Forth of July.

Stanton's
Lori,

I have just added 3 more Stanton's to the Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery after receiving obit's from the Georgetown Museum.
I noticed that the head stones that you have take pictures of (5) you have added their locations. Do you have the plots / locations for the others?
If you would not mind transferring the rest of the Stanton's to me I would appreciate it, with the obit's that I just received I can add a lot to those memorials.

RE: Grady Cierley
Thank you, I don't remember if I responded to you about Grady Cierley's father or not.
Octavia's husband John Isaac Cierley died in Sacramento...no other information...sorry.

RE: Jason Peet / Douglas Dunn
Thank you for the updates and the transfers. Melva Dunn was my dad's cousin who I knew nothing about before Ancestry.

Perhaps just add that Jason was the first husband of Douglas' mother Melva

Betty Casper transfer
Thanks for the transfer--and no problem on the delay. I've begun adding Bios on my father's side of my family, and see that Betty is on my mother's side, so it'll be awhile before I get to her anyway.

RE: Grady Cierley
Thank you for linking Grady with my great-grandmother, Octavia Shelley Cierley.
Her husband John Isaac Cierley does not have a find a grave number that I have found. He was born 11/17/1879 in Texas and died 7/21/1960 in Sacramento. He lived with his daughter Ruby Jewel # 13423871 in Bakersfield for awhile. I believe Octavia and he were separated before he died.
Thank you, again,
Vickie Cierley Ellis
