I've walked many graveyards, seeing stones in bad shape, and wondered what would happen to them as time marched on. This site is a wonderful way to preserve, if not the actual stone, at least a replica by photograph for the future.|
If related and can enhance memorial by adding additional information, please request transfer, stating your relationship. No transfers for collection of a particular family name. If you request transfer, be sure you are committed to a lifetime of maintaining the memorial. Sadly, a few of my older transfers are maintained by contributors who no longer respond.
When sending information to add, include verifiable source. Edits will be verified before being accepted. With quick edits, this is still important so unless evident on memorial, please use the other suggestion and include source. Online trees, such as ancestry's, and family reports/books are not valid sources unless sources are noted.
I no longer add dates of birth calculated from age at death unless a photo of the stone is legible. (I got caught on a couple bad transcriptions which threw off the calculated birthdate).
Links will not be made to memorials in unknown cemeteries.
If you have taken better gravestone photos that what I've posted, please post yours and send a message.
I may try to contact contributors if I question an edit. For those who hide themselves completely by not showing email or allowing comments, my only choice is to decline and hope they resubmit with additional information.
Let me know if you have any questions on my listings - I love a good genealogy search and will try to help if possible!
Happy graving to all!

The only source I have is an application for the Sons of the American Revolution for James O'Hara Denny III. I found this on Ancestry.com. If you feel this may have errors, please don't make the changes I suggested. Thank you.

Frances is the daughter of Hillery & Iva Hardesty Miller. Hillery is the brother of my ggrandfather John Miller. You can check the Consular Registration Applications when Frances went to Shanghai China as a Missionary. I have pictures of her as a missionarin China--what more do you need?

Marriage License application states he was born in S Middletown Twp. Cumberland Co. I am still looking for place of death. It must be in my dusty newspaper files. I will find it!! Thanks for asking for verification. Have a great evening!
Her burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery appears to be nothing more than a cenotaph. I found a burial record and a death notice in the paper for her showing she was actually buried in oak Hill Cemetery.
I am still trying to find out if her husband is actually buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. He is not listed in the Oak Hill Cemetery records.
I know a grandson of theirs is definitely buried there due to a death certificate and an obituary I located for him.

Hi! If you manage a site, then under the Edit tab there are several things you can choose to do including "Bio". You can type in any information that might be helpful to others. When the burial place of a parent is unknown & there is no memorial number, then you can just type in their names in this bio section. Definitely not required but nice.

Usually that sort of thing is added to the bio section.

I corrected all of the requests that you ask for except the Steward group. I have some records that show I have them spelled correctly, however, I will look for further documentation.
|Rick Longstreth||RE: Margaret Martin edits|
What was the maiden name I gave you for Margaret?
|Lizzie Dyer Locke||RE: Blanch Wilson|
