Bio and Links
Bio Photo My researching of family began, after the birth of my grandson Max in 1997, when my daughter-in-law gave me a version of Family Tree Maker. As a child I always loved mysteries. I read my mother's Ellery Queen novels, watched Perry Mason episodes and my favorite board game was Clue. I always thought how challenging it would be to work as a detective. I guess, in my own way, I do.

I firmly believe that our ancestors deserve more than just dates on their memorials. It is because of that philosophy that I try to add as much of the information that is available to me. Thank you for either your help or your understanding when I fall short.

It is for that reason that I have stopped making transfers for right now. I have been backtracking my postings to make corrections or add information.

The surnames I am searching and recording;
from my paternal side are:
Gibson, Keller, Miller, Ploehs, Reed, Walkinshaw
from my maternal side, they are:
Beamer, Cunningham, Nelson, Peterson, Park, Parke, Parks, Perrell, Snow and Wiseman

On my husband's tree there are the following:
Mutscher, Oldendorf, vonGunden

The surname originated from 'von Gunten,' i.e. from the village of Gunten on Lake Thun in Kanton Bern, Switzerland. Hans von Gunten appeared in 1703 and 1704.

For those who wonder...
Why the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created?
This is due to some generous F*A*G contributors who decided to transfer some of their memorials to myself and others.
Thank you...
I feel honored to be one of the recipients entrusted to care for these postings.

Alexander Runyon Franklin
You have Alexander Runyon Franklin as the father of Peter. Peter was born in China and came to the US with Koatherine Greenman. Do you know anything about his circumstances? I've found no record on his father or birth. ( I'm doubting the mother) or perhaps he was adopted?

Elijah Edwards #54288805
Hi Marcia,
I'm curious. I've noticed that the memorial you manage for Elijah Edwards and also the one for his brother, Newel Martin Edwards have been updated in the bio section to say that their mother is "Mary McDaniel". I've just recently been made aware that Thomas' wife may have been a McDaniel rather than a Hague as I have thought for years and I'm trying to search it out. May I ask what led you to make the note in the bio? Any info you may have on Thomas' wife, Mary, would be greatly appreciated. Thomas and Mary are my 3x great-grandparents and Elijah is my 2x great-grandfather.
Thank you!

Mulholland memorials

I am the niece of several of the Mulholland family, who's memorials you are managing - in fact; I'm seeing the genealogical information I provided on them. May I ask that you transfer the management of their memorials to me?

Find A Grave Memorial# 154502030 - Mary Mulholland Quinn
Find A Grave Memorial# 106523603 - Bridget (Bertha)Mulholland Costello
Find A Grave Memorial# 128382952 - James Charles Mulholland (and his children also please)

If I missed any other Mulhollands, Costellos, Quinns, etc., I would again appreciate their transfer so I may make corrections and add in additional information.

Thank you for your consideration.

incomplete information
While your information on the burial of Ethyl and Howard Appleton in Forrest Hills Cemetery is correct, what is incorrect is that they are NOT buried there now. I moved them due to the deplorable conditions at Forrest Hills back in the early 2000's to Sunset Memorial Park on County Line Road in Lower Southampton Twp. Please leave a post on how to correct this information for future generations.

Elizabeth Speaker
I was wondering where you obtained the information that you posted on this memorial for the date of her death? In some newspaper articles that I have on her son - Nimrod - it is stated that she and her husband Andrew died within a few months of each other in 1866. There is also a find a grave memorial for her in another cemetery in Putnam County, Ohio.

Thanks, Virginia
