Are you related to Gail Archer 1899-1945?
I have run into a dead end for him
|C. Rogers||John Mosseller/Norene Mosseller|
I was recently looking at the cemetery records for my godfather (Charles S. Tison) in Fletcher, NC. I noticed a message to you from Barbara Howard with a question about John S. Mosseller and his wife, Norene Mosseller. My aunt, Louise Anderson, worked with Norene Mosseller at the American Red Cross in Asheville in the late 60s. Norene and my aunt were medical technologists there and I do know that Norene was not John Mosseller's first wife. I am not sure if she was his 2nd or 3rd wife. In addition, to being acquainted with John and Norene when I was a child, I was good friends with his great niece and grew up with her. I cannot seem to figure out how to pass this information along to Barbara Howard. Her instructions are not working for me, so if you would kind enough to let her know, I would be grateful. Thank you for posting the grave marker for my godfather as well. I appreciate it. Regards.

A question has come up about 2 of my listings in this cemetery. The only way I can think to solve it is to drive over and look. But I can't remember where it is. I noticed you had a few photo's from the same cemetery. Can you give me Directions? I would be coming from Hendersonville.

I am wondering about your memorial of John S Mosseller. I was told by a relative of a John S Mosseller, (not necessarily this one) that his spouse was Lillian Mills Mosseller. (1897-19920)
You have spouse on this John as Norene A Mosseller.
Possibly a later marriage, or possibly I have wrong person. I wonder if you could point me to any information to confirm? I would appreciate your help.

I've looked through several memorials that have been done on the above cemetery, and it looks like you may have added this cemetery and its memorials.
My uncle, Wallace, and aunt, Shirley, Walton are buried in this cemetery as are his brother, Howard; wife, Pauline; and their children, Ruth and Bobby Walton.
For a while, I've been concerned about the location given of Washington County for this cemetery. I believe the Church and the cemetery which is connected to the Church (if my memory serves me) is in Smyth. The obits of both Aunt Polly and her son, Bobby, that are written by the funeral home specifically say that the cemetery is in Smyth. I lived in the area when I was younger and my home was just down the road from the Church. We lived in Smyth County.
Would you mind checking on this? Every time I see this, it makes me think we have the wrong county for the cemetery, but I could be out of my mind. I think you must live in the area and should have a better handle on it.
I believe I have asked your relationship to our family before, and I can't remember what you said. I don't see any of our names listed as names you follow. However, I see your name on lots of my family memorials.
Thank you for your help.

This woman is incorrectly listed as the daughter of Walker Walter McKinney and Mattie Satterfield McKinney. Walker & Mattie McKinney did have a daughter named "Joyce" born about 1921. However, that Joyce McKinney died of Typhoid Fever on June 23, 1930 in Beech Springs, Spartanburg County, SC.
I am in possession of a copy of her death certificate which is the source of my information.Please correct your memorial. I have submitted an "Edit" but wanted to give you more info. Thanks!!
