Please, do NOT copy my photos to ancestry.com without giving me credit. Use for commercial purposes is not allowed under any circumstances. However, it is okay with me for you to post my photos of your friends and families headstones on Facebook as long as you link it back to the Find A Grave memorial. You may use my photos on your own personal website if non-commercial, but photo credit is again appreciated [borrowed with permission from J. Sullivan].
If you need to make a correction to one of my managed memorials, use the new Edit feature for most changes. They will be made within 21 days--usually sooner. If you are requesting a biographical update or are requesting a transfer, use the suggest a correction button under that feature. Do not use this for basic changes. Use the new Edit system. As I get an e-mail for those, they will be handled more quickly. Leaving a message here will also generate an e-mail, but please do not use this feature for corrections.
Thanks to Brooke in Henry County, Iowa, for getting me started. She found my wife's great-grandmother's grave in Iowa and posted it--we never would have found it without her!

No, sorry. Not related. I'm a genealogist and come across info for others in my research.
|Diane_O||RE: Private Owen Smith|
The death certificate says Private Owen Smith passed away on the 25th and was buried on the 27th. I agree with you, leave it as it is. I had thought it was simply a typo. I went back and made the picture larger and now I see that the marker does say the 27th. Thanks for your time.

|Kathy Clark||RE: Lucy Gilbert Tompkins|
I'll just update the older one and delete mine. I write about the people in Clark's Cemetery. I post them on our website.
There is another Gilbert stone in Clark's. Not sure if Lucy Gilbert Tompkins is related to them. Gilbert is a fine old Gloucester name.

I had not seen the previous memorial since I was looking for Tompkins not Tomkins. The newer memorial is more complete with the link to the rest of the family. Can you just delete the older incorrect one?

Please delete his memorial. There is a duplicate.

I received an email recently from Barbara Winton, Sir Nicholas George Winton's daughter. Here is a copy of her email address and her reply to my request for her father's burial site. Feel free to email Barbara yourself if you want to be absolute that what I send you here is true. Braywick cemetery is roughly one hour west of London by car, and Windsor Castle is not far off from it. The cemetery is in the Windsor District I believe. Please read:

My fatherís ashes are interred with my motherís and younger brotherís at Braywick cemetery, Maidenhead. As my brother died first, the grave is in the childrens area, which is on the far right when facing into the cemetery from the car park, near the gate out into the park next door. If you arrive in Maidenhead by train you will find a statue of my father on platform 3 of the railway station. A new memorial garden has just been opened in his memory in a local park Ė Oaken Grove Park, if you want to explore further.

Yes, I already had his SC memorial in the bio. And the caption for picture at the SC memorial indicates it's located in Beverly.

Sorry if I sounded "short" on my emails. I'm in Toronto doing some work at the Archives of Ontario on other familiy groups and am working off my iPad.
Thanks for all the effort you've put into the Cemeteris in Massachusetts. It is much appreciated.
I just emailed Red's revised famous obit. Thanks for your advice.
|John Glassford||Thanks for the heads up!|
I have written to FindAGrave to have the problem corrected.
