Bio and Links
Bio Photo Simply enjoy genealogy and preserving history.

I make mistakes if you tell me, I will fix them.

If they are family, I will gladly transfer.

My aim is to honor the past. Items added to biographies are typically information I receive via email from unknown contributors and post to memorial. I do NOT fact check so take it for what it's worth...further research.

THE STORY TELLERS by unknown
We are the chosen. My feelings are, in each family, there is one who seems
called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live
again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and
approve. To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but,
instead, breathing life into all those who have gone before. We are the
storytellers of the tribe. All tribes have one.
We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before
cry out to us: Tell our story.

Hadassah Coble Gregory
Are you a relative of Haassah? I am in the Coble line and I am related to her, as you can see by my posting I try to give as much information I can to help others that are searching for their relatives.
If you are not a relative, I would ask that you transfer her to me, if you are I ask that you include the information that I have provided so it makes it easier for other researchers. Thank you

VELMA
Dean Cemetery
Carol, I also went to the Dean Cemetery last year, Florida Dean Steele is my great grandmother. Yes it is hard to get into but the owner of the land was very gracious and took us to it. He has been taking care of it for many years. If you have any more information about the family I would very much appreciate it, or have had contact with any of the family member I would appreciate that also.
My email is velma_hill@yahoo.com
Thank you

Elizabeth Blain Brown spelling error
Hi Carol,

Im a descendant of Elizabeth Blair Brown, Find A Grave Memorial# 85980907, married to Vernon King Brown, her father was Pvt. Jessee Blair of the Texas Rangers died during duty in White County, Texas in 1837. The marriage certificate written in cursive looks like Blain, buy I assure you it's Blair. There is many written down documentation in family bible and online bios. Please advise correction please. Thank you,
C Ros

Carol: Thank you so much for the transfer of our great grandfather's memorial. We are so thankful that you found him!

His family was kind of the "back woods" type & my husband was raised on ranches & forest camps, so didn't get much schooling, nor time for things like family research.

In fact, he didn't know much more about their names except for "Granny & Grampa Gates"; but, when his mother died a couple of years ago, I was fortunate to find a funeral card for his grandfather and since then have traced their records to find nearly 200 of his kin.

Thanks again for helping with the search.
Cheers~ Shirleen
