|Interested in Family History/Genealogy. Enjoy the project of putting on data & photos. Will share photos but would appreciate a notice.|
I will admit to making errors in the beginning with the Find-a-grave guidelines, but hope I have corrected them.
Incomplete data ie putting names on with minimal data when data is available.
Duplicates - & seeming unwillingness to remove them. This is not a numbers game.
Dupes- predating ( back-dating whatever it is called ) & then claiming mine is a dupe.
This is not a site for doing "Family Trees " If a person is not buried in the Cemetery then they should not be put on to complete a Family tree" There should be no requests on the memorial for Family history.
Any pictures put on the sites with my public
name on them were taken by me. The exceptions are the ones from other sites with their permission, including Billion Graves & CanGenWeb & about a 100 for the Durham Cemetery. The memory stick was given to me by Kim.
Many of my pictures were taken by J Aitken.

|High Plains||RE: Henry Vollett 1859-1924|
Thank you. Actually Henry Vollett (1859-1924) was married to my husband's great aunt, Catherine "Katie" Hamilton. Thought the name sounded familiar!

you want to link Aaron Vollett (1825-1920) as his father. What is your source?

I have found no records listing George as the son of his linked parents.
Could you share your source(s)?

First let me thank you for all your efforts in listing cemetery memorials. Those of us who cannot physically view the grave would never find this information if not for volunteers like you. Also thank you for keeping to the facts pertaining to what you see and not adding information that is not there.
I did notice however on the memorial for Louise Drumm that the system seems to have noted Valentine Drumm as her possible husband. Actually Valentine is her brother and to the best of my knowledge Louise never married. There is some question as to whether Valentine ever married as well. I have found no marriage record to date but that doesn't mean one does not exist. See 1881, 1891 and 1921 Census of Canada (ancestry.com). In 1881 Valentine and sister Louise are living with their folks and no wife is seen for Valentine which is no surprise as he is only 18 at the time. In 1891 he is single and living with his parents and sister Louise. In 1921 he is cited as single and living with his sisters Louise Drumm and Catharina McKay (they are noted as sisters on the census). If he ever had a wife she would have died before 1943 since he is listed as single on his 1943 death certificate (ancestry.com) and if he had been married it would seem he would be listed as a widower. Anyway, long story short, Louise who died in 1959 cannot be Valentine's wife. If the system will allow you may want to change Valentine to Louise's brother and on Valentine's memorial (144376572) change Louise to his sister or remove the cross references completely.
Again, thank you for your efforts on behalf of all of us who are chasing genealogical facts.

|Mary Gordon||RE: Hanover|
Not sure what you want changed. The names were taken directly from the published obits.
|High Plains||RE: girdler/gridler|
No problem!! I will still have to remove the memorials I made as they were added after the misspelled ones. SIGH!!
So the results will be the same.
Have a great week!!
judy aka High Plains :)
actually, the ones I added are correct. check the spelling of the last name on the pictures on the memorials that are misspelled.
|M. Pook||RE: Donald Peppler|
I took the photo in response to a request made by "Jewel" July 30, 2015. I had taken a few names that I couldn't find into MariAnne at the Hanover Civic Office and she was kind enough to look them up. I had put a note on the sheet that he was buried with Edgar Peppler. If this doesn't fit with your information let me know and I'll remove it.
I don't know who "Jewel" is but that person might have more information about Donald.

|Steven M||RE: Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery (Grey County, Ontario)|
The persons in question are a couple named Yost and Mary Maes (both memorials where created by yourself). I've placed requests for both of them.

Would you happen to have any more photographs from this cemetery?
