My name is Antonio. Born in my father's hometown of El Paso, Texas. My childhood was mostly in my stepfather's hometown of Truchas, NM. Later moved back to Mom's hometown of Española, NM where I eventually graduated High School and then left to the Air Force. I've done some traveling, but home is Home. I began actively researching my genealogy around 2001, although it was always an interest since childhood. I've researched other family genealogies too. I frequent cemeteries looking for data. I appreciate the connection felt from seeing the final resting places of family members and connecting others to the same experience. I've come across unidentified graves due to time and erosion. So, in addition to identifiable graves, I've tried to include damaged graves with the slightest of information. I hope anyone with additional information for these graves would please share that information and save these graves from becoming lost graves. It's my ambition to try and preserve the identities of all graves I come across. On memorials I manage, I try to research what I can to not only preserve their identity, but their legacy as well. I also attempt genealogical connections when available, particularly in my own community area.

I have lots of family and friends in the Española Valley, therefore I am in a position to adequately manage and update their memorials per findagrave's "ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I know a few contributors are ambitious with their stats, and that's fine. Grave documentation provides a useful service and I don't see a conflict with transfer requests if it honors findagrave's ultimate goal. I hope that is considered when I make transfer requests for non-family members. Sometimes, it facilitates my ongoing research and reduces my follow up process. Some contributors are wise enough to understand this, Thank You. I enjoy the collaboration process and often share updates I come across. There is only one contributor that I have had an adverse encounter with, and that's one too many. Please work with me, so that I don't feel reluctant about working with you.
