|Jim Carn||RE: William Donnel|
You're welcome. He was hiding in plain sight. I walk around the cemetery with my phone and scroll down through the requests and find a few every now and then. Today was your lucky day. There's 45,000-50,000 buried in Wildwood.

Source for my "Edit" is:
Early Settlers of New York State, Vol. I; June 1936, Tombstone Inscriptions, Methodist Cemetery, Olcott, Niagara Co @ ancestry.com*: Ward, Seely, 1813-1893. he is listed next to Ward, Mary B, w of Seely, Oct 24, 1853, 37y-7m-20d.
The branches of my tree are "far and wide", I had no idea that so many of my ancestors & their families came from Niagara County & surrounding counties, NY - Too bad I didn't know when I visited Niagara Falls, Palmyra, Bergen, etc. in 1999!
Thanks again for helping so many!

Thank YOU, Chris! I know I've been a pain lately. The work I've been doing in Greenwood has translated into a lot of edits for you. I really appreciate your help and forbearance, and value all of the time and effort you've put into each of your memorials.

|jerry tod||Harry Smith, Riverdale Cem., Niagara|
I'm trying to find a Harry Smith from my town in England, who emigrated in 1909-10. You have a Harry Smith in Riverdale, who fits the bill in several respects. Is there anyone who would know where in England he came from ?
Any help would be much appreciated.

The Lockport, NY Union Sun & Journal of Aug. 23, 1942, page 11, states that the funeral of W. Ellsworth Brown was held at his home on Orangeport Rd., on August 23, 1942. Burial at Corwin Cemetery.
You have the death date as 1943. I wanted to provide you with the correct month and year of his death - Aug 1942.
|Natalie Woodall||Hamilton T Holden|
Dear ChrisB: Are you able to take another look at this man's gave stone? It looks as if his DOD is given. Could it be late 1895 or early 1896? Can you also tell me if his wife, Mary J., is buried near him? The last date I have for her is a Lockport City Directory listing for 1908. Mr. Holden served in the 147th Regiment as well as the 28th and the 91st. I am writing a book about this unit and am investigating the fates of all its members. Many thanks for any information you may be able to provide. Best wishes, Natalie J. Woodall, PhD
|O Culver||Amos Hurlburt|
Thank you so much for transferring the memorial for Amos Hurlburt to me. We had been unable to find his grave when we visited many years ago. A sad story - dying on his 18th birthday. This helps to complete the family of his parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Lewis) Hurlburt.
