If anyone wants any of my photos posted, send a web link of the photo you want posted also with a web link to the memorial. If there are more than one person on the stone, you only need to send links for one person per stone with the memorial page link. As soon as I can, I will post them as requested.

I have no problem with anyone to using my pictures for personal family trees, as long as they are credited. Because I am member of F-A-G, please give me a chance to post my own pictures.

For all those who used my pictures without my permission on F-A-G, please credited them or remove them, and post no more. When I ask to have my photos to be deleted, I expect them to be removed.

Starting 2018 for those who ignore my request to remove my pictures they posted without permission.

I will no longer waste my time notifying them. I have been asking some for years to credit them in the image caption or removed them.

I will be posting a duplicate picture on the same page. For members that have a problem with me doing this, don't contact me and tell me to take my own picture down, please contact the persons who ripped off the pictures.

I have found hundreds of my personal undocumented photos copied on F-A-G and other genealogy sites.

This is a copyright infringement and goes against Find A Grave policy. The copyrights belongs to me, not public domain.

Even when using public domain photo's, it is nice to documented the photo to show respect for those who took the photos, also others may be able to find more family data through that source.

Most members have been real respectful and documented my photos that were posted without my permission. To them, I let them keep the photo they posted, unless I have a better photo that I retook or enhanced.

I hope F-A-G members understand that taken these photos took over 10 years of hard work, and this is not all about me. I done this for preserving history for the generations to come and to help this generation to find their family members.

When I first stated taken these photos I was only concern about getting the data on the headstone. After years past I started being more concerned about picture quality. There were times I went back and forth many times to cemeteries to get better quality photos and re-done the whole cemetery for that reason.

I seen some members get upset over the dumbest things including myself when reacting before thinking. If I offended anyone in the past, I apology for the lack of better communications.

We should all work together and be respectful to one other, even when we disagree with each other. Bottom line, we should all be in this together for the future generations to come.

York and Adams County, PA Cemetery Pictures

Harry Senft has taken over 280,000 pictures of of headstones, 339 cemeteries in York and Adams counties that are ALL posted online.

(Also, there are some in Cumberland Co., PA, Lancaster Co. PA, and one in Carroll County, MD.)

In conjunction with FamilyHart (aka Don & Jeanine Hartman), Custom Google Maps for each cemetery location have been produced so that the user can easily find the cemetery. An index of the cemeteries listed is also provided by name and by location. In addition, indexing of the actual cemetery picture files with links to the FamilysHart Online Databaseare being compiled. The FamilyHart Online Database contains over 1,051,000 linked family names, most of which have connections to York and Adams counties. This family database is the most comprehensive and complete listing of York and Adams County names on the Internet. It grows by over 1,000 names per week, and is updated online quarterly.

The York County Cemeteries USGenWeb site is a relatively comprehensive site for finding transcriptions and pictures of Tombstones in York County. Many of Harry Senft's pictures (and those of others) are posted here and are indexed by cemetery. Also found here are transcriptions of many cemeteries (some complete and many incomplete.) These transcriptions are valuable as they often include stones that are no longer readable and may not show up on photo images. Also many cemeteries only have transcriptions. Neither this site or the FamilyHart site are all inclusive for burials in York County but used together they provide the most comprehensive record of burials in the county found online.
There are over 345 different cemeteries in the county. Finding the right cemetery is compounded by the fact that many cemeteries have changed names over the years and are now known by different names. A comprehensive list of cemeteries can be found at York County Cemeteries and Locations. This link does not have burials listed but is the most complete listing of all the cemeteries in York County.
