Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been involved with genealogy since Jan. 1965. The study of history has always been a passion with me which evolved into searching out the history of my own families and, also, led to my preoccupation with old cemeteries. After over 50 years of involvement with genealogy I no longer consider it a hobby - rather more of a compulsive passion.

Now that I am retired I can devote full time to my four favorite passions: gardening, genealogy, old cemeteries and developing my self sustaining homestead.

Find-A-Grave serves two important purposes. First, it provides a memorial for a person who has passed from this earthly existence into eternity. It is a way to remember that person and all that was so wonderful about him or her. Second, it provides information to family members about their relatives. This is especially important the farther one goes back in the generations, because our familiarity with these people declines as our distance from them increases. (I copied this from S.R.F. (#47738583. It says what I want to say but much better)

As for FindAGrave - If you want to use my grave photos on other web sites or your family tree, there is no need to ask. But please credit me. If you want a photo on additional Find A Grave memorials, such as when there is a double stone, please ask me to post those so I don't find my photos with your name on them. You can post only grave photos that you yourself took.

This permission to use my photos does not apply to personal or family photos. Please ask first about those.

I willingly accept corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course!

I added the information I have to this memorial, and will be glad to add any additional information you may have. Are you researching or have information on additional Burleson Family?

RE: Joshua Hearne Photo Request
My cousin initially added Joshua into that cemetery. I just moved Joshua's memorial into the Hearne Burial Ground with his parents.

Joshua Hearne Photo Request
Thanks John for attempting, several times, to locate my Hearne relative's grave to fulfill my photo request. It's a shame there is no marker.

Linking Frances Barlow to parents
I am the nephew of Frances Barlow and the grandson of Fred Franklin Prince. Can you link Frances #114904029 to her father Fred Prince #88420358 ?

Thank you

RE: John R Spurgeon (1812 - 1884)
I have not sent you any edits. The memorial you are questioning is no longer mine. The bio on this memorial was not written by me. I transferred him years ago to Zoe Tom.

RE: Hannah Ames Miley Find A Grave Memorial# 40052780
Hannah Ames Miley was married to Bayless Miley. According to the 1900 census, Bayless is 41 yrs.; his wife Hannah is 64; their daughter Anna is 13; son Berton is 10. Also listed is Mary Spurgeon, who is 19 and listed as a stepdaughter to Bayless. It appears as if Hannah was married to a Spurgeon before marrying Bayless. Hope this helps answer your question.

Photo-Infant Son King
THANK YOU for taking and posting the headstone of this Infant King. You confirmed what I wrote on the bio about a typographical error in the cemetery book. Great job.

Mr. Burns - you have photographed just about every grave stone in this cemetery. Do you recall what road it is on?

My spouses' family is well represented here and we'd like to visit it. I have sent you numerous linkage over the past few days connecting the various branches of the Campbell and Sanders/Saunders families, and I do have sources if you would want/need them. Thanks for any info you could supply.

John: Do you have any more photos from that cemetery? Let me know and I will put in a photo request for each of them so you can get the photo credit.
