Bio and Links
Bio Photo It has taken me 5 years and 10 visits to the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial to finally finish photographing all the names on the Tablets of the Missing. If interested about some facts regarding the Manila American Cemetery, you can click on my bio photo to the left for some statistics.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

RE: Lewis E Christian - Manila
Thanks so much for helping me understand more about the memorial. And thank you for adding the additional notes on Lewis. Have a great day!

Thank you mr cook for the three photos you submitted. I take it none of the white markers have names on them. On the huge board of names I noticed they listed him as Virginia but he was from Tennessee. Wonder how Virginia got listed there? I take it you made the trip to Manila. Again, thanks so much for the photos.

Cornelius Bumbar

Thank you for your recent contribution of Cornelius Bumbar's memorial photo. Though he is no relation. To me, I thought it important that he be remembered.

RE: Memorial# 56773966
Thanks Tim. The information you provided from your sources was very revealing for me. It also enabled me to find some additional information on the Callaway and Navy documentation of the incident (a letter from the Pacific Fleet Commander to the Secretary of the Navy). Very grateful.

Thank You
I did not expect to receive such a fast response to my photo request for Charles Frederick Schohl, Find A Grave Memorial# 56773966. Charles was my first cousin, once removed. He was killed 6 1/2 years before I was born and I only recently became aware of him through my genealogy efforts. Your pictures bring a great deal of meaning to his memorial. I am particularly grateful for your photo of the USS Calloway and the caption you added. Prior to seeing it, I had no idea how his death had occurred. How did you learn about this fact? Was there a display at the memorial concerning this attack and the sailors involved? Thank you for your efforts.
