Bio

I began serious genealogical research on my family in 1991 before moving to Nevada. My mother and I combined our photos and efforts to record our family history during frequent visits to Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. My mother, Eunice House Peters, died July 2008 at the age of 87 and my Dad, Lester J. Peters, died June 2009 at the age of 93.They were married 73 years.
In 2002, I co-authored a work book with my friend, Barbara L. Hodges, CGRS. The work book is titled: "Some Churchill County Nevada Records, 1850-1900, A Researchers Guide". Second printing in 2003. Our plan is to continue with a series of work books on the original counties prior to 1900. While helping others to research their family history, I am also working on a book about the early settlers of the "Gold Rush Community" of Big Oak Flat & Groveland,California, where I grew up & lived from 1946-1994. In 2010, I published a reproduction of "Complete Indexed Map of California and Nevada, 1910" which was found in Big Oak Flat.
Teaming up with FAG has given me the opportunity to give back to the many people who have helped me in my research over the years.
Many of the memorials that I have entered on FAG are not my relatives and I will be happy to transfer them to direct decendents who qualify by FAG rules.
