Bio and Links
Bio Photo We are David & Effie. We were born and raised in upstate South Carolina. I found Find A Grave in 2009 and now David has joined me in a search for our "lost" family members. We sincerely hope that along the way our contributions to this site will help others find theirs.

We wish to thank those who have made memorials for our family members and those who have transfered management of them to us. We especially want to thank those who have made the corrections we requested, as correct and complete data is the key to accomplishing our goals.

Our primary sources of information for our memorials, other than direct knowledge of burial, are grave marker photos and obituaries. We use these sources as backup for our entries, as we DO NOT make any without proof of burial location.

Our motto is... to err is human, and to correct is necessary. Please contact us if you find an error on our memorials or if you have missing information that we can add to make an appealing and honorable memorial. We will gladly correct any errors on our entries, make additions, add links or transfer memorials if they are not related to us. (please use the EDIT tab and make a suggestion option on the memorial for any request.)

We understand that a photo says more than a thousand words, and is a very important part of family research. It is our pleasure to offer our photos for personal genealogical purposes. You may re-post on Find A Grave if you will have the courtesy to give us credit in the caption of the photo. Otherwise, DO NOT RE-POST!

Everyone is welcome to visit and leave a flower for our immediate family members listed below or any of our memorials and once again, we wish to thank all of our Find A Grave friends who have done a wonderful job in helping preserve our heritage and making this a wonderful site.

Please be advised today is the birthday of my precious friend, late in his life, that became a wonderful addition to our family, as he was lonely and My sister and I took him as Our friend, and he is endeared in our hearts for the few years we had him as an adopted family member, friend, and confident. He was allowed to live a little more thru his broken heart for losing his endeared wife, so we appreciated taking him many places, sharing holidays with him and quiet conversations of encouragement. 9=11 was a moment the three of us were together. please add his birthday and transfer him to me, if possible. thank you.

Naomi Hodge Belue
My grandmother is Naomi Hodge Belue and is the daughter of Charles and Dell. There are nine girls all together.

Her Find-A-Grave ID is 105047247. She is buried in Evergreen in Landrum. I thought you might want to link her to the list of children.

Thank you!

Albert William Webber
Please reply as you find the the time, to inform me of the recent edit I requested for this memorial, for Albert William Webber, my Daddy's first cousin. I , Julie Lawter, read an acceptance of edit from you on my email... Looked at the memorial, and can't see the change. I thought I requested for this transferal to me. Did I not? Maybe I am confused and asked something else, and forgot. Can You kindly just remind me of the edit I asked for ? Thank You, for taking Your time to read this, and reply. Your dedication to this and all Memorials, is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Julie Lawter

Thank you
We are very interested to know how you are related to Mattie V Ray, who was my husband's maternal birth grandmother. She gave up her infant daughter in 1914 and finally her oldes grandson has found her!! So now she will NEVER be forgotten.

No problem; most likely a glitch in the system!

Thanks

RE: Floyd 55118600
David,
James Robert Floyd or Robert James Floyd the spouse of Harriet Jane Hicks Floyd #55118600 or #110635680 Mrs. J. R. Floyd - has documents under both names--the GA Death Index is James Robert Floyd but Mem #110635499 is Robert James. Census records for James Robert or J. R. are 1870, 1910, 1930 and 1940 but marriage under Robert Floyd. So he did use both versions but Harriet's marker is Mrs. J. R. Floyd.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Kathleen

James Bagwell (#39929117)
Hello.

I have been searching for my husband's fathers family for 20+ years. We just made the connection last year! James Bagwell is his 2nd great grandfather. I was wondering if you happen to have any connection to this family.

Thank you,
Diana

Graveyard entrance photo
Would you mind removing the Graveyard entrance photo from my grandfathers memorial. I have a lot of photos I would like to add. Thank you so much!

Mabel Blanche Twisdale Branch
The above is my paternal grandmother. She is buried in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square, NC, not in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Would you correct this, please? Thanks so much.

Willard G. Murphy - #133879998
Hi,

An edit was submitted for Mr. Murphy to delete his spouse, Cora, as shown on his memorial.

Is this indeed correct?

Thanks,
Elizabeth
