Bond Family
Saw you posted a photo of Willis Dock Bond and his wife on findagrave. Are you related to this family? I am looking for information on their son William Eason Bond who is buried in the same cemetery...I would really love to have a picture of William...For some reason, William gets left out of most of the Genealogies when the children of Willis Dock Bond and Hannah Mary Phillips are listed yet he clearly appears in Census records with them. William in the one in the cemetery marked as W. E. Bond. He married Martha Mary Cromer. William Eason Bond originally enlisted as a Private in Company C, 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry. In May of 1863 this battalion was consolidated with the 3rd Georgia Battalion Infantry and became the 37th Georgia Infantry. William however was transferred to Company C, Caswell's Sharpshooter Battalion which would later become the 4th Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters. He filed for Pension in Franklin County claiming to be a member of the 37th Georgia Infantry which he never was...but his original company was. His widow also filed for Pension in Franklin County under the name Mrs. W. E. Bond.

Brenda, thank you so very much for adding photos to the James Bell Moon cemetery. It takes nerve to venture to the cemetery.

Suggest you should get in contact with Lori Cook-Folger (#47132984). She took the photo of Moses Hunt's tombstone.
