Bio Photo Photo: Standing behind our family Patriot - Thomas Durfee, Esq. with my daughter and "cemetery buddy" Tara.

Findagrave is such a valuable tool and helped me while researching for my DAR application. I had no idea where my Patriot, Thomas Durfee was buried until someone posted a photo on findagrave. We just HAD to go visit the site for ourselves!

I am willing to do photo requests anywhere in Rhode Island.
I initially began taking photos of ancestors, but have enjoyed adding others as well to this website.

RE: Lucy and Jesse Merrill
Please do use the photos on your family tree. We also added Cinderella and Sarah Lois, their daughters buried next to them. There is a baby stone on the same plot for a Rose Clarice, but who her parents are is difficult to read. Rose would have been the daughter of a female Merrill, born and died in 1873. Do you have any idea who Rose's parents may be? We would like to post the picture to a memorial, but can't decipher the father's last name. Thanks for any help you can provide.

St. Patrick's Cemetery
I saw your note about St. Patrick Cemetery. Both sections of St. Patrick's are still in use. The one on Emerson will have older graves, but plots are still available. Having grown up there, I can't say one is much older than the other. The oldest cemetery is the one across the street from St. Patrick's. I have heard of graves going back to the 1700s. I do not know the name of it.

Hi Julie,

I am writing to ask your permission to use a copy of they photo you took of the gravestone marker of my 7th great grandmother (#21483883) in my ancestry.com family tree. I will give you credit for taking the photo in the caption under the photo itself.

Did you ever figure out the actual date of her death? It cannot be the 1st, because what you can read on the marker indicates that whatever the date was, it had a "th"

Thanks for you consideration.
