Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been an active genealogist since the 1980's, getting great pleasure from discovering new facts everyday.

I've lived in the Northern Calif county of Mendocino for 4 years, previously living in San Diego and raising my family in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born & raised in Kansas.

I love filling requests all around my area in Mendocino Co. I also love to photograph the old 19th C gravestones I find, and also the stones of children.

Please feel free to use any photos I post to F-A-G for your own uses! I will be happy to transfer any memorial that you need. That's what sharing is all about.

Happy hunting!

RE: Piombo Family Headstones
Yes I do have photos of the headstones of Charles and David Piombo. It looks like their headstones are side by side per Find A Grave. We were just trying to find out if Andrea had a headstone. I wasn't able to find a website or phone number for who takes care of Potter Valley Cemetery. It looks like a little one. Would be sad to find out that he doesn't have one. But if there is record of him being buried in Potter Valley Cemetery would there be anything or piece of information to prove that he is there? Any markings? Again many thanks for your help!

Headstone Photo Request
Hello! I've recently been doing my husbands fathers line and his great grandfather came to America from Italy.

The Piombo Family

Andrea Piombo ( no photo / 1892-1944)
Sons:
David Angelo Piombo (photo / 1926-1996)
Charles R Piombo (no photo / 1924-1975)

Would you be able to assist in obtaining photos for us of Andrea and Charles Piombo's headstone please? We would so greatly appreciate it!

Thank you SO SO Much!

The daughter he visited in Galveston was Olivia Shwarts/Schwarts and her husband was Moses H Shwarts. He's in Findagrave as M.H. (firstname) Shwarts. The had a company in Galveston, but he died in (if i recall correctly) Giddings, TX.

This is a common grave with 16 interments. See http://www.burialrecords.manchester.gov.uk
Some common graves were known as inscription graves as relatives could pay for a single line inscription of name, date of death and age. However, these can be difficult to locate. I have not attempted to find the grave. Mike Berrell

Thank you so much in posting a photo of this headstone. I knew of two daughters of William S. and Birdie Kellaway, but thanks to you, I can add a third child to this family. I have not been able to find a record of this little one. W.S. was a brother to my Gr.Greatgrandmother Sarah.
Thank you again!
Emma.

RE: My Grandfathers Gravestone
Hi DK. I am so sorry I didn't come across your message til now 3 years later. I was at the cemetery last year and will be back out this July for my 50th birthday and to view the marker I am having made now for my mom and dad. You wouldn't know who I contact to make some corrections on some of my relatives would you? Some of the info is incorrect. Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for not getting your message til now x
