I consider all transfers. I also reserve the choice to follow the 4 generations Find A Grave suggested transfer rules. Please list your profile name and number when requesting a transfer. Thank you.|
Please use the memorial EDIT option to make all corrections, additions and transfer requests. Please list the name and memorial number when sending public messages. It is difficult to locate an individual without the memorial number.
If there are duplicate records in a cemetery, a request will be sent to Find A Grave to merge the memorials. All the information, photos, etc. will be preserved. Find A Grave will decide which memorial to keep, which usually is the memorial that was created first in the correct cemetery. This usually takes about 1-2 weeks.
For the past 21 years I have been on the genealogy staff at the Mesa Arizona FamilySearch Library. We are a regional center of familysearch.org. Some of my specialties are internet genealogy research and U.S. military records. I also lecture and teach classes in the Phoenix area communities. I have 35 years of genealogy research experience.

Your note on George Lawson Keene's find-a-grave listing includes an image of the Medal of Honor. Do you have any information confirming that Mr. Keene received the Medal of Honor?
Thank you for any information you can give.

Thanks for all you do on Findagrave! :)
|Kandy Back Agee||Brown memorials|
Hi, I received the transfers of the Brown memorials. I'm not related and didn't really want/need them transferred to me. I am going to transfer them to Findagrave admin unless you would like me to transfer them back to you :) Let me know
|Nancy Berntson||Homer Franklin Owens|
I see that you are related to him, he is the husband of my 6th cousin, 1 time removed, Helen B. Brady. Through Find A Grave I am finding a lot of cousins and having a ball. Thank you one and all who work on this program and make it possible to find family members. I enjoy not only finding family but helping others do the same and it is so rewarding.

|Jim Burnett||RE: George Lawson Keene|
More importantly, thank you for what you do. Although I may spend half a year tracking one veteran for his/her family, it looks like you've completed thousands of searches for the burials of friends, family and loved ones.
|Rosamond O||Robin Vernon Laverty|
Hi, Regarding my brother Robin Vernon Laverty , he was born 18 August 1954 not in June. Thanks, Rosamond O'Bryan Las Vegas, Nv.

I have been asked to write a biographical piece on George Lawson Keene for the Texas Historical Association Handbook. Briefly, during an ongoing contest regarding Texas history, I brought an error to the attention of the Historical Association. It had incorrectly named Marcelino Serna as the most decorated Texan of World War I.
As a longtime researcher in American military history, I brought to the attention of the Historical Association that Serna, who enlisted in Colorado and was not an American citizen, could not be classified as the most decorated Texan but that George Lawson Keene could. Not only was Keene the most decorated Texan, but he was the most decorated American, even more highly decorated than Alvin York.
It was then that I noticed that the Associationís handbook did not even have an entry on Keene. After calling this to their attention, they have agreed to correct this oversight and asked that I author the biographical piece.
While I have a rather extensive file on George Lawson Keene, I would welcome the opportunity to speak to surviving family member(s) with the hopes of obtaining unpublished (or under published) information on Mr. Keene as well as approval to use existing photographs which might be under the familyís control.
In addition to my historical and military research, I am also a long-time genealogist and member in good standing with Ancestry. If you can share any information or put me in contact with surviving family members who can, I would be in your debt. The Association has not given me a deadline but I suspect that I will need to have something to them in the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Thank you for any help you can give,
