Bio Photo MY PHOTOS:

If you would like to use my grave images for any non-commercial purpose, I release them to you under a creative commons non-commercial license. No further permission is required or requested. If you'd like to leave me a public "thank you," I assure you that will put a smile on my face.

Most of my photos taken in 2013 or later have GPS coordinates embedded. If you want to find the coordinates of a grave, and the memorial does not display coordinates, you can check if the image has GPS metadata. How to do this:

1) Click on the small image so you get the big image page.

2) Right-click on the image in the big image page and choose "Copy image URL"

3) Go to Jeffrey's EXIF viewer utility.

4) Paste the URL (it should end in .jpg) into the "Image URL" field on Jeffrey's site and press the button "View Image at URL". It should give you a lot of data like this example.

5) Scroll down to where it says GPS Latitude and GPS Longitude. If the image has GPS coordinates, you will see them there.

My primary interests have been the historic cemeteries of Rehoboth, Swansea, and Providence, with excursions to Fall River and Somserset, and as far away as Maine and New York.

Of course, sometimes I make mistakes. Send me a correction by using the little "edit" button in the memorial. If your edits require more than a click, I may transfer the memorial to you.

I am interested in photography, genealogy, and history, not in maintaining databases. Therefore, I have a very liberal transfer policy. I'm glad to transfer any memorial to anyone who is sincerely interested in taking good care of it. I don't care if you are a relative or not. The only exceptions might be my own family members.

Virginia Meadowcroft
Stones at Oakland Cemetery
Thank you for posting Frank & Harriet's photograph. And, many thanks thanks, for creating the memorials for Frank's brother Henry and Hattie's mother Harriet Winslow whose burial locations I did not have. Your work is appreciated.

Thanks for photo of John Boswell's grave
Thank you for the beautiful photo of the shared gravestone of John Boswell and his life partner Jerone Hart. I included it in my tribute to Boswell at the Jesus in Love Blog at Q Spirit, with credit to you:

John Boswell: Historian of gays and lesbians in Christianity

I appreciate your generosity in granting permission for use on blogs like mine.

Thank you for transferring management of James E. Chace.

I have added more info, a bio, and some links.

Looking forward to visiting his headstone when the snow is gone to see what we can do.

Good Morning ~
...quick note to Thank You for the photograph of the Mumford Family stone in the Swan Point Cemetery. I've post a copy of this photo to the memorial page of Capt Mumford. He was killed in action near Totopotomy Creek, Virginia. I've not been able to find any record of his burial in any of the cemeteries around Northern Virginia, so it is possible that he was, indeed, taken back to Rhode Island for burial. Or, perhaps this is a cenotaph.
Either way - Thank You for the work that you are doing!

Ebenezer Fuller, Find a Grave Record 84688057
I think the birth date posted on the memorial page is incorrect. Looks like the tombstone (photo) says he was 90 or 96 when he died, which would make his date of birth in the 1740s? What do you think? Thx

Lt. Edwin Main(e)
I have a message in to you regarding the spelling of the last name (Main vs. Maine). However, upon further research, I find this is the same person as Find A Grave #50306870.
