Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.

Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.

I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.

Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Good Hunting!

Hello. I was wondering if you would mind transferring this memorial to me. This is my Grandmother on my father's side.

Thank You.

Rick, it's not uncommon for headstone dates & death records to be different, particularly since we don't know when the headstone was placed (contemporary or later)or, the death record transcription could simply be wrong.

Bean Station is a city in Grainger and Hawkins counties, Tennessee, United States. It is part of the Morristown, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The death record transcription list the father as J M Summers and the J is likely an error and should be F as the mother is correct.

My guess is this is their child though without seeing the actual death record we cannot at this time confirm the dates of birth and death.

As for the transcribed cemetery as Mumfree, there is no current Find A Grave listing for such.

It's your decision, of course.

Mary Louise Pittman Dollman
Hi Rick,
Just wanted to thank you for adding Louise Dolman to the Temple Cemetery in Cotton County, OK. She was born and raised 1/2 mile down the road from me and is a distant cousin. Her brothers and their children have been very dear friends to me. I sent you an edit to get her linked up with her parents and husband.
I can tell from your bio that you are a very dear soul and are in it for the same reason Pam and I are--to help other people find their ancestors.
Thanks for all you do and for your service to our country. Louise's husband died in WWII in the North African theater and her father Bryant Pittman died in WWII as a Japanese POW in the Pacific Ocean. The war was hard on her and her family as it was for many.
Thanks Again,
Pam Metzger and Teresa McMinn
Choctaw County, MS
