|Libby Peevy||RE: hey!|
i am so happy to hear from you. i will get my family stuff out soon and try to see our connections and what we can come up with. i am pretty involved in the local DAR from my Rev. War Patriot Abraham Peavy.
there is so much to do on my genealogy and so little time to do it!
please tell Judy I said hi.
we'll keep in touch, ok!

I have looked at the posting for Mary Ann "Polly" Shows Strain. It lists six Strain children but not the two Shows children: Jesse Doris Hargrove Stewart (1913-2006), b. Caddo Parish La. and her sister Marie Hargrove, who died at age 16 and presumably is buried in Jackson Parish. There is a findagrave listing for Doris Hargrove Stewart, which I added recently. How do I get Doris addes among the children of Mary Ann "Polly" Shows Strain? Her findagrave number is 33436897. Do you happen to have the date and place of Mary Jane Ann "Polly" Shows' marriage to James Madison Shows? Thank you.
Barbara is that you who took dance classes with me at Miss Gwen's and was in the band and went to the Methodist church? If so, of course I remember you! i wondered if that name might be yours, but i said probably not. what a great surprise.
thanks for saying nice things about my mother. she was a gem. can't wait to see her again in Heaven!
your grandmother was a McBride that must be our connection? and a Stinson? does that mean you are related to Judy and David also?
will definitely have to start a diaologue with you soon about our relatives. got to run to the doctor now.
How fun to find you again!
|Libby Peevy||Louisa McBride|
Hi Barbara. I am looking for the cemetery that Louisa McBride is buried in in Holmes County, Mississippi. You listed her in Find A Grave. as Luvisey Street McBride. She is related to me through her daughter Frances Fannie McBride Wigley.
I am originally from Jonesboro, La. where I grew up. My ancestors in Jackson Parish names are McBride, Peevy, Walsworth, Johnston, Wigley, Prestridge and others.
Are we related through the Johnstons? Sarah Johnston was my great great grandmother married to Andrew Jackson Peevy.
Would love to hear from you if you can help me "put my family together"

Thank you for the information. I was confused because we had Sarah Jane Pate Stewart listed as Sarah Elizabeth Stewart. Wish we could locate the burial site for Jane Warren Stewart.
I may be able to find more info on Zelma and Velma Stewart so that we can add memorials for them and finish the list of Bert and Anney Stewart's children -- now that I understand how the site works.
As you suggested, I have added Gattis Elbert Stewart and will soon add Doris Hargrove Stewart.

I was thinking that perhaps the "smaller" Sharon Cemetery on FindAGrave is a duplicate but wasn't sure. You've resolved the issue, and I thank you. The next time I'm down in Union Parish, I may have to wander over there and take a look at the area.
Thanks again---I appreciate the response!

More than welcome!

If you are not related I am the grand daughter of Maybelle Baxter could you transfer her file to me

Hi Barb, I just saw this note still languishing in my notes to be answered in case I did not do so much earlier when you requested. Ophelia was married to Gordon Barrett whose memorial can be found on www.findagrave.com at 43396466.
Sorry for the delay. She married J.L.E. in 1908.
