Bio and Links
I am a native of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. My primary interest is the history and genealogy of Huntingdon County, and in particular any of the Park/s families that were in Franklin County and Huntingdon County when they were formed. My roots are in neighboring Franklin County (at this time). I do research at a number of historical societies in central Pennsylvania and am a member of the Huntingdon County Historical Society. I also assist a major surname genealogy organization in some of their work. Please abide by Find A Grave rules regarding use of photographs, including duplication of pictures already in place for a memorial. Refer to their frequently asked questions if you haven't done so already.

Photo Inquiry
Ron, Your name is attached to a photo of a small church as part of the Monroe Cemetery. Do you have any information about the church (what is its name, religious affiliation, etc.)? I have many ancestors buried there and I'm researching if there are others. Would you be able to assist me with family information from the Mapleton Depot area during the mid- to late 1800s? Thanks! Karen

Photo provided
Hello, Thank you so much for the photo you provided for my Great Grandmother Emma J Chilcote, Could you please tell me the cemetery you found it at? I've never known which one it was.

Thanks again

Orlady Heffner memorial
It seems Orlady died very soon after mustering out of the Army. Do you know what is inscribed on the bottom of the headstone? #89565960

Much thanks, Ron, for the quick response to my photo requests. What a difference it makes to see the memorials with the headstone photo added.

Shaver Cemetery
We visited the cemetery this week and very little work has been done. Someone has marked the stones with little orange flags but nothing has been restored. Very disappointing. I added a few pictures to the findagrave entry. All the best, Rebecca
