Anyone who finds a photo of their relatives tombstones on a memorial, taken by myself, has my permission to use it. Photo credit would be appreciated! Earlier photo's were downgraded in size to fit this site's requirements and I normally have a higher resolution photo, just ask.

Got your edits done. Frankeburger was known as Chapel years back. Nobody I know of ever heard that. There was a church to north across the road and a school on south end. I have an 1880's picture of it. Let me know if you want it. I don't like to contact a member initially by e-mail because it seems many of them delete it thinking it's junk. The picture is from the 1970 Stephenson Co. history book.

If I remember right, this stone was by a group of trees, but I don't remember if it was by any other headstones. I'm sorry I'm not more help. We will most likely be at the cemetery before May, and I'll certainly pay attention and let you know.

I'm sorry, I don't know the exact location of this stone. My husband and I took pictures of the entire cemetery and are adding pictures, linking family members and adding new names. I just added this because it seemed an honor to him, and I would guess the red oak trees were planted in his honor. We live about 75 miles away, but if we're back at that cemetery, I can see where the stone is in relation to the family plot.

RE: looking for a grave site
Thank you for the quick response. When I was there last year, I didn't know what to look for, and I just wandered around. Now I know what to look for and that they are next to the above ground tomb. I think that will help a lot. Thanks!!

looking for a grave site
Paul - you are credited with the photo of my 3x great-grandfather Daniel Porter Smith in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery. I have been to the cemetery to look for the grave but had no idea where to look. That is a big cemetery and I was not able to find the actual grave site. Do you have any idea of location? A general area would really help.
