I enjoy helping others out. As well as working on my family history. If I can help in my area let me know. I will try to help get your photo and or obituary, if possible.|
However, after going out of my way to get pictures and the such, I would appreciate it if Marcia would stop trolling the findagrave site and nit picking at my and "other" contributors work, effort and help. We are all adults, or so should be.
I am human and do make mistakes, just like the rest of us. (Whether some want to admit it or not is still out for debate. LOL)
If you find a problem, please be kind when asking for corrections to be made. Don't ASSUME that all the information on the memorial was made by me. You know the saying "DON'T ASSUME-it'll make an ass out of you!" LOL Most would agree that a polite contact is the best kind of contact.
In the event you find memorials that need to be linked. Please provide proof that it is husband and wife buried together. I've gotten wrong information. What a headache that was. So please provide proof. Thanks!!
Currently I am inputting information from cemetery books. I am not trying to have a bunch of memorials under my number WHO CARES???
What I care for is to list the forgotten, that didn't have a headstone or the headstone is missing for whatever reason. For those that are searching for loved ones. Not knowing where in the "county" they are resting. Since inputting the cemetery book info. I have had several people contact me because I had solved mysteries where their relatives are buried at. That has been rewarding. It trumps the "negative" ones.
So fellow findagravers, the cemetery entries are a great source for information, if you can't get out to cemeteries, entering from the cemetery books would be greatly appreciated.
This helpful info. below came from Eva Pippin Flowers (#47244686)
When requesting how to be able to click on name and then taken to their site:
< a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=FAG#">NAME< /a>
Please copy and paste the above statement and then delete the space between the first < and "a" and then after the last name< and /.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY LEAF
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.
God Bless America!!!

|Robin Brent||Edit to Rebecca Robinson 109790415|
Hi, Just checking on the edit you suggested to Rebecca's memorial. I'm a little confused on the dates. You have Robert b. in 1861, his sister Mary b. in 1875 according to the 1880 census and Mary born 8yrs after Robert which would be 1867. If he was born in 1862 his mother would have been abt 11 years old in 1862 according to the 1880 census. Glad to make the edit but just wanted some clarification. I am not related to this family and also would be willing to transfer if you are. Happy hunting, Robin
Hi, I am Heather, If it wasnt for this site and all the peoples work and finding the graves and pictures of these people. I have found alot of my family through a lot of your findings. I am related to the barretts from Schuyler County Illinois.

I do not know how to delete Carolyn's notes. I was at the Bardolph Cemetery on Tuesday taking photos for other stones and I always try to take the surrounding stones as well. I did not know that Harriet was the person that you and Carolyn had been looking for until I saw the notes while uploading photos of what I had taken. The Bardolph Cemetery book (Marge Harris) said no stone; she must have missed it. I was telling my Mom about the marker and about you and Carolyn. Have a nice evening!

I am not seeing his death as registered in the Clark county online deaths. Is it a spelling or some other issue?
Thank you for transferring my Strawn family members to my care. I am like you that I will gladly transfer memorials to family. Who cares about the numbers! I just love family to find their family!

I noticed that you have added some photos to my GGG Grandmothers page. Can you please tell me where the source is that you found that? I thank you so much, the pictures are so very appreciated.

I'm distantly related on my mothers side of the family. Lydia King Yoder is my 2nd cousin 5 times removed. I have no memorabilia.
My grandmother was born in Garden City, MO (near Clearfork) and came to Oregon as a young child.
