Hi Christie

I saw where you posted an image of this man and was wondering if you happen to have the original? I am researching the regiment and would love to see a copy of the image that shows his uniform. His is the only image I have seen that shows a member of the regiment wearing a havelock. Any additional info appreciated.

AH! I found the link to the REAL Willow Mount!

This should make it easier for you. It's 43% photographed. Just add your information and delete the old one. Hope this helps!

It's not your fault. Like I said, someone just created it originally and put the wrong name. Given the two names - Willow Mount and Shelby - the confusion began! Whoever did it originally probably just didn't realize the difference between Shelby and Shelbyville. It does seem as though Shelbyville would be in Shelby County.

Good luck!

The death certificate clearly says Willow Mount in Shelbyville, TN as the place of burial. I promise you that is NOT in Shelby County - and how confusing is that? It is definitely in Bedford County, TN. (I don't know how the name Bellevue got put in there.)

For 'place of death' the death certificate also gives Bedford County.

I've sent in a message to the 'problems' folks at F.A.G. I'm hoping they'll correct it. In the mean time, I wanted everyone who had posted their info to be able to correct it.

Best regards,

Lillie Helton - Willow Mount Cemetery in TN
I recently received a request to take a photo of a grave located in Willow Mount Cemetery, Bellevue, Shelby Co., TN. I have to tell you that there is NO Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelby County. Bellevue is a street in Memphis, but has never been an incorporated or unincorporated part of Shelby County.

Willow Mount Cemetery is located in Shelbyville, TN - which is in Bedford County, TN. Bedford is in the middle of the state and not near where I live. Otherwise, I'd be delighted to take the photo!

I'm not sure how this 'virtual cemetery' was created. There are seven people listed in it (one posted by you), but there are no photos of any tombstones.

I'm not sure how to correct this situation, but I will look into it.

You might want to re-check your burial records.

Thanks for letting me know I had the wrong link. I try to make sure I type the correct number but in this case I was one 0 off.
