I had forgotten that I had sent you a message about W. L. Martin. My message was in regards to a CSA flag etc about his been a veteran that you had posted. I don't think he was in the military but at home with his parents per a letter I have written by his brother while a POW in Camp Chase, Ohio. You transferred the memorial to me but I don't know if I have charge over the tributes and would not want to change anything even if I could.

RE: W. L. Martin
You created the memorial and then transferred it to me...Gordon Cemetery on Find A Grave as Gordon Chapel. A guy that owns the land that it is on has the deed that created the cemetery and I have found two or three that refer to it, but have not found the original deed as of yet.. I plan to ask the guy when I see him again. He lives on the road leading to the cemetery. I have spent lots of hours lately trying to find names of others buried there and have found about ten, all Gordon descendants. tis weird that such a prominent family had NO markers except the government furnished one for Gen Doc Gordon.

Do you need help with W. L. Martin? I had looked for him for years and his stone was found lying next to the edge of the cemetery. I recently moved it over closer to Joshua as a Martin relative said that that is where he thinks he was buried. He also thinks that Joshua had a dau. buried there with no marker, close to him and Sarah. My wife and I plan to placing a marker for her soon.

I don't think he was a Confederate veteran. A letter from his brother to his parents near Lafayette, mentions to tell him not to eat too many green apples. He had at least two siblings, perhaps more, who fought. But I don't think he did.

Arch Hamilton Green
I've recently located the information on Arch Hamilton Green. I have a ton of information on the Green/Hildebrand families, if you're interested. Ham's bio seemed to indicate that you didn't have much information. I'd also like to ask if I could use your Find A Grave photo of Ham in my family tree. You are welcome to any/all family information I have. My email is

Thank you!
