Bio and Links
Bio Photo If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.

I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.

PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.

PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Hi, I would appreciate it if you would remove the obit from her memorial. I have added it to the bio.

Have a great 4th of July!

Photo request for Ross Henderson 152929779
Hey, Michael--

Thank you for searching West Fairfield Methodist cemetery for a marker for Ross Henderson. As you probably noticed, the memorial was created using his death certificate which listed only "West Fairfield."

As I know you research the Hendersons extensively in Pennsylvania, could there be another cemetery that would fit for "West Fairfield?" Or possibly a unmarked burial with his mother, Nancy J Baird and Sally A Henderson?

My husband, Michael Henderson is descendant of Pennsylvania Hendersons and we have made 3 trips to do research but seem to have exhausted any new leads.

I missed a great opportunity to purchase online from Heritage auctions a letter written by his GGG grandfather, Joseph Henderson, to a nephew about his sons, Joseph Andrew, David H and Robert A while they were in the Civil War here in Texas.
Have you ever seen or heard about this letter during your research? I would love to hear who purchased it.

Once again, thank you for your efforts and I will make a note on his memorial to reflect your findings and efforts.

RE: Denniston
My pleasure, Michael. I also added a marker photo to the memorials for Marian (memorial lists as Marion)Denniston, Elizabeth Denniston Huston, Frank Huston, James A Denniston, Rachael Denniston, and Elsabeth Denniston (d. 1888)(her memorial is listed as Elizabeth Denniston. Created memorial with photo for Warren and Edna Denniston. These other Denniston's were both nearby those you requested and elsewhere in the cemetery.

Windall Godshall at West Laurel Hill Cemetery
Also buried at the same plot is Florence E. Godshall (1858-1932). If this name means anything to you, I could put her photo on her Find A Grave Memorial upon your photo request.

Anna Forcey #90428764
Good afternoon. I would love for you to remove the obit photo on Anna's memorial. I have ask in my bio to not put then on my memorials. If you want to type it and email it to me I would be glad to transfer it to the obit section. That is why there is an obit section. If I do not hear from you within a couple of weeks then I will delete this memorial and redo it under a different number. I know that is not a good thing to do but I hate obit photos on my memorials. Please, please, please remove it. Thank you and have a great day.

The Neils
I'm sorry but many of the headstones out at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery are extremely hard to read, even in person, due to age, striations in the marble, but mainly because the etchings in the white marble have absolutely no letter darkening. Click on the photos to enlarge a couple times and they becomes much easier to read.
