RE: MARY CHELENA AT ST. MARY
Hi Gordon,

I don't know whether she was married twice or not. I am not related in any way that I know, presently.

I am related to Dzugans from Habura & Medzilaborce, Slovakia & thought I would have a go at connecting some of the Allegheny County family. I know that several of them came from Medzilaborce.

I have most of the church records from Medzilaborce but I don't see a connection to this Mary & father Michael & those families.

Sincerely,

Michael Teed

RE: Re Mary Laurent
Mr. Hunter, thank you for all your investigations. A little more about my obit find. I have a book that belonged to my great aunt. It is dated 1893. She used it to paste in recipes, home remedies and such. There were loose newspaper clipping which when I looked at the reverse side, I found a few obits from those days.
One was of this Gertrude Sohl. Article said she belonged to Lawrenceville Roman Catholic Church. That's why I began there - looking for her burial site.
It lists children William, Frank, daughters Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Snyder.
Lists sister as I said Mrs. Mary Laurent
I noticed Mary died in 1912, that's why I thought the Judge name might be Gertrude's maiden name.
I hope someday I can put this obit on Gertrude's find a grave site for a future family member who might find it helpful.

Re Mary Laurent
In obit it states that she is survived by sister Mrs. Mary Laurent.

On her grave site it is stated she was born in Scotland. I have discovered an old obit on a Gertrude Sohl. I believe this is her sister. I did not see this sister Gertrude Sohl buried in this cemetery but I feel sure her grave is there. This obit states born in Germany. Gertrude's husband was Joseph Sohl and I believe he also is buried in this St. Mary's cemetery. Would you have any information?
