I research cemeteries in Guilford County, North Carolina. I am actively seeking information on Confederate soldiers from the area. I have many photographs of First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Green Hill Cemetery, and a few other cemeteries in the area. It is sad to see the disrepectful condition of cemeteries in our country. I will share information!!!

William Sterling Moore
Do you have any record of a William Sterling Moore who was a Highland Scot who fought in the Battle of the Guilford Courthouse? Last name may have been spelled "More" or "Muir" at the time.

RE: Picture
Yes you may use the photo of Thomas Belue Jr. Thank you for asking(most people don't). A little history on this photo in case you didn't know: Thomas kept a diary during his time in the Civil War. Last I knew of it the diary was in the possession of Winthrop College (I am not sure how it ended up there)....anyway this is a copy of the photo that was found in and kept with the diary.

Have a nice day and again, thanks for asking permission....I am assuming you are going to use it in a family history?

RE: Woodburn
Thanks for checking on Robert Woodburn's memorial for the links. Since it had been so long, I asked Findagrave to make the changes for me, which they did. Diane

RE: Gilmore, John Adams
Because it's listed as famous, I no longer have the ability to edit it. I have sent an email to the admins to ask them to correct the name. I don't know how long it may take them.
