RE Joseph Nichols
Thank you for trying to locate his grave. It appears that his body was moved to Arlington, so he's no longer buried here. (I just found this out). I appreciate you taking the time to attempt the photo.

US Marine Corps Band Directors graves
Hello, I want to say thank you for checking on the grave sites of the three band directors I requested photos of at Congressional Cemetery. I have informed the US Marine Corps Band historian of these unmarked graves and suggested that they petition the US government to erect new grave markers for them. Again thank you for your help. Best regards, Karl

Thank you for the transfer on my cousin's cousin. Since it's on down the line and on her maternal side, I can give him back to you. I have updated the bio to show some connection to the Garner family.

RE: John Wesley Shiles 1818
I do thank you, I think. It opens up a can of worms that I don't know if I should.

Thank you for the pic...this was my husband's third great-granduncle. I'd be happy to manage this memorial if you see fit to transfer it to me...:)

John Wesley Shiles 1818
Born 19 June 1818 Broad Creek, Sussex Co., Delaware to Elias Shiles and Rachel Cardiff. He married twice, Caroline McKenny and Mary Ellegood.
The Cardiff and Shiles families were in business in the Bermuda Islands and moved together to Broad Creek to farm and trade their goods in the Bermuda Islands. This is all in history books along with so much more. I am from Nancy Cardiff Wallace who was a sister of Rachel Cardiff, daughters of Christopher Cardiff and Margaret Pamphillion,

A book was written on the Cardiff family and in it was a large amount of history on Elias Shiles also.
