I was born in Greenport, L. I., New York and grew up in Riverhead, N.Y. I lived 57 years in the Riverhead - Flanders area. I retired and moved to Dover, De. About a year ago I learned of Find-A-Grave. I think it is a great idea. I will help as much as I can to make this site useful to others.
I have been doing my genealogy for over 20 years. I have traced my family history to Virginia. Mainly Powhatan, Cumberland, and Amelia Counties. The family names that I'm working on are Brunskill, Jackson, James, Cooper, Hatcher, and Watkins.
I'm interested in cemeteries on Eastern Long Island, N.Y., Virginia, and now Maryland and Delaware.
Now, anytime I travel I will visit cemeteries and record some tombstones. I'm not related to most of the entries I have made. I hope the information I provide is of help and value to others.
