Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer request.

The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

Thank you for transferring to me. You didn't have to do that at all. I really appreciate it though. She is my husband's aunt. We are trying to piece the family together. It has been super hard and frustrating. Thanks again.

RE: R W Mills
Homer, Yes, Rubben W. Mills was my cousin. His mother Sarah Adeline Wheeler was a sister to my grandfather Mosco Wheeler. If you don't mind, I would certainly appreciate the transfer.

Did you know my Mom, Dopsy Wheeler Roberts, or any of her other Wheeler family from Lumberton? I noticed you added Mom's picture to her memorial and also a flower.

Thanks so much,

Homer, Thank you for investigating this. I greatly appreciate your time and effort. I am also a volunteer, but on vacation since there is a white blanket covering our earth here. Thanks for helping others.
