Inspired by the pioneers of Perth county, Ontario, Canada, I enjoy entering memorials for these individuals and linking them to their families. I am amazed at how God can keep track of us all and knows each one of us intimately!|
God bless you and have a wonderful day. Lorna ><>

|B.G. Wiehle||Keillor photos, Avondale Section K|
In 2011, you added photos to memorials for Archibald John Keillor #34732968 & Janet "Jessie" Ballantyne Keillor #34733251, buried at Avondale Cemetery, Section K. I recently added Agnes Ballantine Keillor #182020429, who is buried in the plot with her parents, but not mentioned on the marker. Unfortunately, the marker fell over last winter and my photo cannot not show the inscription.
I would appreciate if you could add your photos from 2011 to Agnes' memorial, #182020429.

Thank you Lorna for all the wonderful work you have done recording these monuments.
I do have a question about 2 individuals you have linked: Elizabeth Jane Ferguson Beirnes,# 68845788 and James Ferguson (spouse of Ann Ludlow) # 68070298.
How did you arrive at the conclusion that Eliza Jane is the daughter of James? I would love to know this as I have not been able to find anything linking them.
Also Ann Ludlow is not the mother as she was the wife of her first husband William Moore in Port Hope, Ontario during the time Eliza Jane was born in Ireland.
Thank you for your help in this.

Jacob Jacobs actual death date was Oct 22, 1886 based on the death register at the Marion County Courthouse. The date of registry was the Nov 9 1886. This can also be confirmed by the obituary in the Marion Record on Oct 29, 1886. He was killed by being gored to death by a bull as he was moving the bull from one field to another. The news article tells of the sad event.
Can you please correct his date of death?
Jacob Jacobs is my 2nd great grandfather.

Hi - Lorna
Please take the info off the memorial that I just transferred and add it to the memorial which you created for Ross.
I did not realize that you had created a memorial for Ross until now. I had him in Cranbrook Cemetery instead of Knox Cemetery.
Thankyou so much for understanding my error

I looked at that 1880 census for the Jacobs family and see that the George is listed as a grandson, not a son, and is only 2 yrs old. The Gideon W. is also listed as a grandson. The George born in 1871 would have been 9 years old so I am not sure if he did make it to Canada. I will have to do further research to figure out who the grandson's parents are and see if I can learn anything else about the George born January 4,1871. I wonder if he is in the church records in Canada. Always another trail to follow.
thank you for all the Canada info you have put online for these families.

Thanks, I guess I will have to look harder for a death date.

I am puzzled. Jacob and Barbara Jacobs had a son named George Jacob (1845-1863) and then you show this second son, named George born and died in 1864 that I wasn't aware of. I understand that was a common action to name a new child after one that had died earlier.
What is interesting is that in the 1871 census is that they had another son named George in January of 1871 (he was 3/12's old). He also died young, at least before 1886 when his father died in Kansas. Is there any record of this third George Jacob's birth in 1871? I didn't find his death record in Kansas so wonder if he died in 1871 to 1872 before they immigrated to the US.

Thank you. We are hoping to make a trip to the area sometime in the next year so I am looking forward to that research. I see you are a quilter, too.

I appreciate all the great information that you have contributed to findagrave. Barbara Studer Jacobs is my second great grandmother. Her daughter, Carolina, is my great grandmother. I think you were the contributor for her birthplace, parents, and sibling information. If so, can you tell me what the sources are for that information? I have visited Kansas where she lived but have not yet been able to take a trip to Ontario where she spent much of her life.
