I have been doing research for 16 years now. I love taking photos of tombstones. I am finding photos I have taken around the internet in different places. I am always happy to help others anyway that I can. However, I have 4 children and homeschool, so it isn't so easy for me to get to the cemeteries. We have spent a lot of Saturdays doing this. While I don't mind sharing, I do mind you saving my work and calling it your own! Site your sources when you use my photos, please! It would be great to also send them back to their Findagrave memorial so others can pay their respects to their memorial. |
Aside from Bethany/South Jefferson Cemetery, most of what I post are of relatives or they share the same surname as my line. If you see one posted by me outside of Louisville, then they are related to me.

Thx for getting back...looks like babs deleted it from the National Cem's Hugh Mitchell. Looks ok now.
Have a good one...

Hi Paula...I know my first email to you was confusing. Go to the Cave Hill National Cem. Search for Hugh Mitchell,3293024. That photo is on the wrong memorial. Babs took that photo and is on the Hugh B. Mitchell at Cave Hill. It needs to be deleted from this memorial. Just the photo...Thanks for your help...
|Pat Harmatuk Baker||oops|
You have added a photo for the Hugh Mitchell,3293024. in the Nat Cem at Cave Hill ...this photo is already on the memorial for the correct Hugh B. Mitchell, 162127055.
Hugh Mitchell in Cave Hill, 63915836, who should be in the National Cem, already has a photo of his military headstone but is in the wrong cemetery......Babs is going to move him...Really confusing.

Thank you so much for the kindness of a reply. I will be traveling to Mammoth Cave sometime and will try to find the cemetery and gravesite. I am 2 hours away also!
|Kim Ammeter||photo request|
I am currently researching my great grandfather, J. D. Hackett. Our family only knew that he moved to Texas around 1898 and left his family in Washington state.
I have just recently discovered that he spent time in the Mammoth Cave area. According to a few authors, Hackett was hiring people to work in the caves for him, one of these workers may have been Harrison Logsdon.
If you have any information I would greatly appreciate it.
Could you possibly photograph Harrison Logsdon's headstone? Feb 23 1893 - Dec 13 1921.
thank you in advance,
|Alexis Goodin||Thank you!|
Hi, Paula! You added my great great- grandfather's tombstone pictures & his info. I'd like to say thank you for doing that. His name is Norman Lee Waters. I was wondering if maybe we were related?
|Charlie Wooten||William Wilson Sr.|
I am Charlie Wooten, 4th great grandson of William Wilson Sr. Given the exhaustive efforts committed to recent genealogical research, it was decided to make a personal visit to William Sr.’s grave in the “Old Dry Pond Cemetery” near Commerce, Ga. To my consternation, I was able to locate only two visible Wilson grave sites, neither of which were William Sr.’s. Also, the cemetery was neglected, and the neighbors are using it for a place to burn brush. Do you know what happened to William Sr.’s Revolutionary War Veteran marker???

I just fulfilled A photo request from another member and was curious because it seems that her husband is also entombed directly beside her and didn't know if there was a memorial that was started for him also. I do have that photo if anyone is interested in starting his Memorial.
Thanks in advance,
|Wayne Arnall||Nikolaus Herchenroeder|
Nikolaus is my great-great grandfather and we are traveling from Florida and will be in Louisville soon. I would like to locate Nikolaus' grave. I appreciate your picture but was curious if you might have the Section and lot #'s.
