First, let me state I do this for my love of cemeteries and history, and it's a positive way to give back to the community.

I DON'T do this just to increase my MEMORIALS as many do here!!

I volunteer my time and efforts to honor requests for anyone who asks.
You may send me an email and ask personally for me to photograph a graves site, or go through the Find A Grave method by posting a request from the memorial directly.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

PLEASE don't post decedents pictures from the local newspapers on my memorials; if you do, I will notify Find A Grave administrators.

If you would like to have the available obituary for your relative or loved one in the Colorado Springs area, I may have an obituary archived; please ask!!

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

You may use my photographs for your own personal genealogy files under two simple conditions: ASK ME FIRST please, and then give me credit for the photograph. I have had people copy my pictures then post them on and on genealogy websites....and that is NOT right to use my work without my permission, which is why it is now copyrighted material!!

Please note: I am inactive on Find a Grave from the end of September - March.

Brown children, Monnett Chapel
I am curious about these listings in Monnett Chapel. There are no grave markers for them, nothing in the book, they were not counted and recorded when the Crawford County cemeteries were walked back in the 1970s and 1980s. My great aunt Eva Monnett was Charles F. Brown's first wife and there is nothing in her records to this matter. I am not doubting you, I just don't see anything to this effect to validate the listings.

RE: Sarah Dalton McKenzie
Ok then. Since you don't want to transfer perhaps you would consider sponsoring? I would have. The cemetery is incorrect and there is another (later) memorial. I have sent a message about these issues linked to her memorial. Sincerely,

Re: Welcome to Find A Grave

And thank you! Though I have done the cemetery search before I am new to findagrave. I am going to be there as a historical researcher so I am going to be in much of the old Pioneer section.

I took on photos that have claimed issues for a few reasons, one being that members who posted them could have the wrong information about where a person maybe buried (especially in older sections). The second was that some requests asked for a photo of the plot even if there was no maker. I thought since I am going to be there anyway I could hunt around and at least get a shot of the plot for them.

The group I am going with is actually going to be in Fountain tomorrow at the Fairview Cemetery doing conservation work. As a fellow cemetery enthusiast you are more than welcome to come see the efforts! (if you come be sure its the Fountain address not the Colorado Springs address! There are two Fairviews around here as I learned the hard way!)
