Bio and Links
Bio Photo We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London. After a few years in the Middle East, we have now moved to our next adventure in China. County-keepers for England. Being long-term expats, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you expect any reply from us, please send your questions and corrections through the EDIT tab in the memorial. Messages posted here are often overlooked. Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas Hunter Brown
RE: Charles Bosanquet
Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. I have since looked Chas. up on Wikipedia which states,
'He maintained a London residence at the Firs, Hampstead, and spent his later years at his estate of Rock Hall near Alnwick in Northumberland. He died there on 20 June 1850, and is buried in its church.'
So I am happy enough with my memorial. Perhaps he is commemorated in some way on your memorial, or maybe there were two C.B.s? It is too far away for me to check out in the field and even further for you.
Thanks again,
Thos.

John Robinson Transfer
Hello! I was wondering if I could get you to transfer me John Robinson's (36768877) memorial to me? He is my 9th Great Uncle and I would like to connect him to family and add some more info. Thank you so much for adding this memorial. I live in the US in Virginia and there is no way I would have been able to get this photo.

Thanks.

Stanley Lane Haseltine
William Haseltine's first wife was Helen Lane, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Hill Lane; she died in New York City from child birth in 1864. (# 139040511) She is interred with her parents at The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

William remarried in 1866 to Helen Marshall.

The inscription on Stanley Lane Haseltine's monument does read "son of Wm Stanley & Helen L Haseltine"; while the monument for his half brother, just to the reads "son of William S & Helen Marshall Haseltine".

Stanley Lane Haseltine's cenotaph at Green-Wood (# 139040568)

Thank you,

Wallace G. Lane; Jr.

Rostislav Romanov
I'm curious as to where the photo of Rostislav Romanov (1938-1999) came from.

I see you have done the corrections - thanks. We both can now thankfully close our files on this!

Amman Jordan
Hi J&K from your kindred spirit!

I am heading to Amman Jordan next week and I see that I am (as always!) following in your intrepid footsteps. I have an entire free weekend. Any cemeteries that you wanted to spend a lot of time but were unable? I see there is an "Old Christian Cemetery" on Al-Muzeir'ha Street with only one memorial, but I have not been able to locate that street on the map, can you provide GPS? In my research I have not been able to locate any British-era cemeteries. Anything you can recommend?

Kind Regards,
Scooter T
