Bio and Links
Bio Photo I spend weekends visiting cemeteries and photographing the art and symbolism in them. I have put together PowerPoint programs on Tombstone Symbolism and other related topics that do for historical & genealogical societies and other interested groups. I run Tombstone Tales on Facebook, featuring photos from our cemetery trips.

I have been researching family history for almost twenty years and Cloud County Kansas history for over ten years now. I enjoy both! I researched the history of Blue Hill Kansas (Mitchell county ghost town) and wrote two books on it. I am a taphophile who enjoys spending time in quiet, country cemeteries.

I'm the mom of two wonderful sons - Kody (age 24) and Kasey (age 8). I have a great husband who goes along on my cemetery excursions and helps out when he can.

I love photography and scrapbooking as well.

If I have any memorials (such as Lena Nelson) that you would like to manage, just let me know. I can transfer them to you.

Lori, I've just completed the Rantz family. I'm quoted as saying they have 15 kids. I'm not sure when I said that -- I've only got 14 for them. I've attached 12 to them. The Others are Martha born 19 August 1885, married Joseph Joel Legare. He was born 12 September 1886 in Kansas, died June 1966 and is buried in the Red Rose Cemetery, Waterford Township, Dakota County, MN with his 2nd wife. His memorial on Find A Grave contains his obit. I'm not sure where Martha died.

The last child is Addie born 9 May 1881, Married 1st - Louis Hubert 9 March 1876=22 September 1909, buried in St, Joseph Cemetery. She married 2nd Elmer Lounze. Manteno Cemetery has Addie RAntz Lownes 1882-1932 and Willard G. Lownes 1859-1945. I wasn't able to find any of these.

They are all yours now. I've got a lot of Baltazors to transfer. If you don't want an of these let me know, Wilda

Lori, I just had my 91st birthday and I'm trying to get out of the genealogy business. Would you like some or all of the above transferred to you? Wilda

Other question
You are more familiar with the Kansas area than I am since I do not live there any longer, but I'm looking for a cemetery in rural Jamestown.
St. Luke’s Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Jamestown at Mitchell Rd and 28. There are a couple of cemeteries in Cloud County but I cannot find that location.
Can/would you assist in that name of the cemetery as on Find a Grave they only have Jamestown, or cloud county.
Thanks

How sad about the family. Must have been huge news back then. Can't help but feel sorry for them all.

RE: Albert Tremblay
They are in my tree but distant. Grandfather of husband of 1st cousin 1x removed. Funny how wide the tree can get. We're probably all related from cloud county.
