I am glad that I am able to contribute and be a part of this wonderful site (when I have and make the time to!) |
Gravestones help us honor and remember our lost loved ones, and this site helps ensure that memory will carry on years from now even when the stones are weathered, worn, broken or forgotten... as unfortunately many already are. I am happy that I can help record what the stones look like now before they age even more.
I have found alot of useful information from this site when researching my family lines and hope the memorials I add and those I add photos to can do the same for others! I, fortunately, am close enough to be able to travel easily to most of my family graves, but understand that is not the case for many people. Even so, it is nice to be able to 'visit' them on this site at anytime and even find new discoveries of family members in places/cemeteries I did not know of.
At this point almost all of the memorials I have created are just from visiting cemeteries in my free time to record them on find a grave - so I would be more than happy to transfer them to family members willing to add-on and improve them!
I will do my best to make any suggested corrections and reply to any messages as quickly as possible regarding memorials that I have created. I normally and do not always get online regularly, nor do I check my email everyday (or even every week). Alot of times (especially in summer) I travel or get busy and/or am nowhere near a computer or internet for over a month. I would appreciate your patience , as I will be more than happy to add and correct any info once I am available to do so.
**the memorials I have added that do not have gravestone photos - I entered info from the photos I took - I just have not yet been able to get these photos onto my computer to add to the site. Hopefully can soon!

Hi Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you. Have had health problems. I am hoping to make a trip to Scott county KY and adjoining counties--maybe I can find some added information on this Osborn family that I descend from. Thank you so much for your help. Would you suggest any particular place to search for this Osborn family?
Have you ever run across the surname Blades in or around this area? I am looking for a Luke Blades that may have died there about 1805--hard to find anything at this early date. Thanks again, Carol

Thanks so much! I was extremely happy to find this memorial you created! I've been family researching for over 30 years ... and believe it or not, I still get excited when I find a link! lol! Again, thanks! And I will try my best to add links!

Thank you so much for making the changes for my ancestors. I did go to the Mallicoat page and it states that the message s for that person is locked. Maybe some time they will see your changes and change it or open the link so they can get the correct information.
Thank you again for your help.

I made an error, Bertha Harp memorial #98714322 died in Kenton Co., Kentucky.
|Barbara Kirkpatrick||Change for 2 memorials|
I believe there is an error on Robert Lee Harp memorial #98714310. Robert was married to my ancestor, Bertha (Schoonover) Harp memorial #98714322.
He, Robert, was never married to Vanie Martin Mallicoat as page shows.
Robert and Bertha were married 6 Oct 1915 in Bourbon Co., Kentucky and were still married at Robert's death 18 Mar 1935. I have the census records that show 1920 and 1930 that they lived together in Scott Co., Kentucky. Bertha is shown as a widow in 1940 Scott Co., Kentucky.
Complete dates for Robert are: b.8 Sep 1866, Bourbon Co., Kentucky; d. 18 Mar 1935, Scott Co., Kentucky.
Complete dates for Bertha are: 19 Feb 1879, Vernon, Jackson, Indiana; d. 19 Nov 1970, Scott Co., Kentucky.
Please take Vanie's name off Robert and add Bertha as spouse and add Robert to Bertha as spouse.

Thank you for posting photos for Wm and Quintilla OTWELL.
My cousin and I are doing a blog on our family research and would like to post 2 of your photos. Can I get permission to use your photos? - I will add your name as the photographer to the blog and a link to findagrave. Memorial #98557306. Thanks.

Greetings from Kentucky and than you for adding an ancestor of mine. If you'd like to transfer him to me, you can - but if he is a relative of yours, that's fine also.
The purpose of my writing is so that you may connect Wes to his parents -
His father is Martin Murrell Holland with a Find A Grave Memorial # - 61259728.
His mother (who is also an ancestor of mine) is Rozilla King Holland and her # is 61261027.
Thanks so much!
