Bio

My name is Deana Goss Martin. My mom, Rita Collvins Mayfield, got me involved in searching for information about our family's past. I haven't been bitten as hard as she has by the genealogy bug but it is very exciting.

I never spent much time in, much less thinking about cemeteries until we lost our twenty-four year old son Levi. Now when I visit one I find it peaceful most of the time. The minister at our son's funeral told a story of a little girl who took a short cut through a cemetery to get home. When they ask her why she went that way she said, because it's the way home. I now look at cemeteries in a whole new light and find myself wanting to preserve someones memories.

As I get more involved and add names to help out, feel free to let me know if I have added your family member whom you would like to have turned over to you. I will be glad to honor your request.
