Bio and Links
Bio Photo I found Find-A-Grave (aka FAG) accidentally, but I love the idea, hope that it always stays free to the public.

If there is something I've posted that you question, or are concerned about; please contact me. I'd like to get the information on the memorial as correct and complete as possible.

I try to use as many sources as possible (that I can get to) to get the information correct; such as Cemetery records, Church Records, Funeral home records, County records, State records, obituaries, & from the families; but I know mistakes can be made. Please let me know.
One problem that comes up a LOT, is duplication; since I work mainly from church records, I have no idea if indeed there are 2 cemeteries; or 1 cemetery with various different names that were used over years; both instances have occurred. But what is the right answer?? I have found 1 person who has two stones in 2 cemetery's in 2 different STATES; but where is the body actually?? Or a different person entirely? I can't tell you because I don't know. I have found where a person was buried to start with, then because of changes for example; dams, family wants to move them, I try to keep as much information, to note the 1st burial (disregarding the date when entered into FAG) as a memorial and make changes to show they were here now have been moved to here; very important for tracking family moves throughout the years.
Another problem is that because I do use so many DIFFERENT records is that I do not know if there is a stone or not, until I check that cemetery FAG to see if it has been documented; sometime it has, sometimes it has not; many times the families were so poor (or transitory) that no stone was ever put up.

Myself? I am researching for my own inter-related family branches as well; Bahr, Baker, Hays, Keyes, Kussmann, McLaughlin, Meeker, Shaw, Visger, and Walker (up to great-great-grandparents and all their siblings so far).

I found a statement about links that is similar to my own beliefs. Myself? I believe in adding information as found because others might not have that particular detail that will help them. I have requested of Melaney Friesen Shaum to be able to use it and with permission, here it is:

Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.

I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.

I have added your suggested information to this memorial although if this is from a newspaper article I would like to source the paper it came from. Thank you.

William Ayres #95903748
When you created the memorial for William Ayres you included his birth date and that he was born in Cumberland County, New Jersey. I've searched high and low for documentation of his birth and parents. Do you recall the source where you obtained the info? Thanks!

On her page you have added the comment about the east side of cemetery, should be close to twin(same stone actually.
Am I understanding correctly that she had a twin sibling. And, if so, was the baby a girl they names Cora.

When you created the memorial for William Ayres #95903748 you noted that he was born in Cumberland, New Jersey. Do you happen to have record of where you found that information? Thanks.

Are you a relative of Dennis Smith? His brother George Smith was my uncle. Will do your edits, just wondering if we are related. Thanks Harold

David Barnett is my great grandfather. I have more info on him if you want it. (1st wife, 2nd wife, siblings, children, etc.) Have looked for him in the past b/c I knew he died in Topeka enroute to his home in MO. Yes, he had an older brother, George, in Topeka. He was a minister and a Civil War Vet.

Jeff Nye Memorial
Would you be so kind as to consider transferring memorial # 91980761 for Jeff Nye to me? Jeff (Jefferson Nye) is my great-great-grandfather.

Thank you for your kindness.
