Bio Photo Very few of the people who have ever lived ever show up in the history books. It is mostly through genealogy and websites like this that they are ever remembered.

While any picture is better than no picture please avoid the temptation to post a picture of a grave marker that isn't better than the picture(s) already on a memorial simply because you took a picture. Pictures that are dark, taken at goofy angles, blurred, too far away, clip the tombstone/inscription or otherwise unreadable don't really help and shouldn't be posted.

Gustavus Langkammer (Find A Grave Memorial #65625674)
Re: Your memorial for Gustavus Langkammer (Find A Grave Memorial #65625674)

I see you have a lot of memorials to take care of, so I hope you’ll have the time to answer my question about the above referenced memorial.

On your memorial it’s stated “Husband of Wavie E. nee Costenbader. Son of Charles and Sara (Andreas) Langkammer”. I am wondering if you recall where this information came from and if you feel it to be reliable? If you believe it to be accurate, I’d like to link him up in Find A Grave with his parents and a brother (who is my grandfather). I would send the edit using the "edit" tab.

This will also help in my own genealogy work, as I know little about my grandfathers sibling(s).

Thanks for all your work, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Whittling - Cochranton Cemetery
I posted photos requested for Henry Whittling. His wife Sarah shares the same marker as well as Oscar and Mary Coburn (Henry and Sarah's daughter)

RE: Jefferson D. Kirschner
Sorry, very few lot numbers were recorded prior to 1921. Killed in 1896, Jeff does not have a lot number listed, no way to know where he is or might have been. Yes, these ledgers did list removals. May have to remain a mystery. Bill

RE: Thank you!
I've noticed your name often in the cemeteries I'm most interested in. Many thanks for your contributions to this site.

Thank you!
Thanks for transferring the care of the memorials for Benjamin Getter & his wife Sarah to me. They're my 3rd great grandparents.

RE: William and Caroline Petry
The PA death certificate for Caroline Louisa Brophy (nee Petry) #27682, lists her father as William Petry and her mother as Emma Blaber. Information was provided by her son, J. Alfred Hurst.
William D. Petry's death certificate, #94766, lists his father as William Petry and his mother as Emma Folk. Information provided by his oldest son, John C. Petry.
William D. Petry is my great grandfather. You may remember my grandmother, Anna Eckert. She knew the family history going back 4 generations. Emma Blaber was a servant living in the Petry household. In fact, you will find her in the 1850 and 1860 census records for West Brunswick twp. listed in Jacob Petry, SR.'s (sp.Patery)household; listed as "Mary" in 1850 and "Emmaline" in 1860. I believe that Emma (Blaber) Folks mother is the 49 yr. old Mary Petry listed in the 1860 census.
In fact, the information on Emma Folk's death certificate, #98308, was provided by the father of these two individuals, William Petry, who died 8 years after she did.

Thanks for the Transfer

I am honored that you transferred my mom and dad's memorials to me. Thank you so much for your heartfelt consideration. It means a lot to me.

I've read all those emails re: Joseph Bane who is interred at Buckingham Cemetery. My family and I have been very involved with the Buckingham Cemetery Association for many years. In fact, my grandmother was a Bane (Minerva Jane Bane Bennett (Mickey)) who is also interred at the cemetery. I have very little history on the Bane's and Bennett's. Currently, I am researching my mom's family from Italy and Germany. Fact, not fiction, is extremely important when tracing family history.

Bottom Line:
Keep maintaining the memorial as I believe you have an objective perspective based on fact rather than speculation. You're doing a great service!
