Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been involved in chasing my families for nearly fifty years. For the past twenty years I have enjoyed helping other researchers gather data from western Iowa, where I now call home. The saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" fits the Find A Grave site purpose well and I wish to help when and where I may.

RE: Charles Worthington
Hi there! No, I'm not related to him, but I've taken dozens of walks in this cemetery and for some reason the Worthington graves interested me. One has an upside down star - do you know what this means?

I haven't done much historical research but when I started looking into the history of graves and people from the area I got interested. I guess I got the bug! It's quite interesting to read about real people, not just famous historical figures, from the 1800s to me.

I'm interested in why their daughter Clara passed so young. Any tips on how to get history on this area would be great. I'd like to get copies of the obituaries but seems like the Mountain View paper from the time isn't easy to get online.

RE: Farlow Grove Cemetery
Quick note to let you know I visited the cemetery today and did not find any gravestones for William B. McMeekan, Sr. or his wife at Farlow Grove.

Almost, but not entirely all. I believe there are still some that are not photographed there. I live close by and will have a look. -E.M.

RE: Francis Johnston # 76855674
I'm not certain where Robson came from. I often ask for evidence before making links. Hence, I may have trusted the material, or else it potentially came from a local genealogist. She's been so reliable in the past, I do not always double check her. I did a bit of looking on Ancestry (censuses) and determined to delete her as a parent in this case.

RE: Susan Robson 70820139
Good question. I'm not finding anything. Since the links can only be added from child to parent, I'm thinking perhaps I do not make them. I've searched through all my edits sent/received & there is nothing there, but it could have been before the new edit system was in place. Illinois marriage records show that a Mrs. Susan Johnston married a Samuel Robson in Mercer County on 07/07/1865. So, perhaps they are her children from her first marriage? I am unable to confirm this though. Please let me know if you discover this was done in error. Thank you. -E.M.

I have added the memorial photos to the earlier memorial page. I am not the manager of the other page. If you let them know that it is a duplicate they can delete the page.

Thanks for taking and posting photos of the headstones of Julius and Wilhelmina Kurdelmier in the Denison cemetery. I didn't realize they spelled their name as "Kurdelmier" until I saw your photo. Thanks again! -- Ken Johnson

Mildred Adle
Thank you for searching for the marker for the infant Mildred Adle buried in the Oakland Cemetery. Even though you found that there was no marker, the information you provided from the records was very helpful and I have included a note on the memorial page indicating that a marker is not there. The three Hovers in that plot were her mother's family. Best, Dan
