I am a quilter! I piece together fabric in the traditional way but also the people of past generations. Just as in making a conventional quilt, all must be pieced together with extreme accuracy, or the outcome will be disastrous. There are no shortcuts that can be taken. The beauty of the quilt can only be truly appreciated by the maker who has personally put their heart and soul into the construction and has had to take out the stitches of the piece that just will not fit.|
DO NOT ADD TO MY MEMORIALS:
NEWSPAPER OBITUARY IMAGES/SCANS
The ones that have been posted to my memorials are all copyright material. Downloading and reposting any image from another website is copyright infringement. Also, be aware that in some states it is illegal to electronically post any vital records. It is punishable with a very hefty fine.
Do not ask me to post obituaries on my memorials unless they are out of copyright. Find A Grave rules state 1922 or earlier and in public domain. Spend your time writing a personal story about the individual.
It is so sad to see so many long time contributors becoming inactive. I totally understand how all of this constant edit stuff is driving them nuts.
I appreciate edits if I have made a typing error but constant requests to add copyright obituaries, or suggestions to add erroneous information (copied from some online tree), is overwhelming. I am on DIALUP service and it takes me hours just to sort through all of this. We are volunteers!
I would much rather have edits sent to me by e-mail with a source cited.
Photos are, and remain, the property of the contributor. No downloading and posting to other web sites! All of the photos submitted by me to Find A Grave, memorials and cemeteries, are copyrighted by me. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited. Written permission must be obtained for any use!
Upon my passing, the full size images and my copyright will be donated to the various genealogical and historical societies that I am a member of. These organizations will need to know to whom I have given permission to for personal use.
I am willing to transfer ownership of my memorials to family members using Find A Grave's standards. I will not transfer if they are my family or allied family members.

|Carol Moore||Alice Mathewson, Chippewa Falls|
Alice Mathewson was my great grandmother. I am so pleased to find the picture of her tombstone as I am presently joining the DAR on my Mathewson line. Alice was born to Walter Briggs Coman and Maryann Caroline Marshall at Farmingtontwp, La Crosse, Wisconsin. She married Julius Mathewson and they had 10 children. At the time that she passed she also had one more living son Walter Mathewson who lived at Duluth, Minnesota.
Many thanks for your work.
Carol Mathewson Moore

You may want to just put me on your friends list and I can submit corrections without having to message you each time. I will never send an edit unless I can document it.
Anyway, Lucinda Lunsford 34313678 as per her DC please add her parents: Thomas Haskins 160771814 and Matilda Massie 181337145

Please add the parents of Pleasant Webb 30261929 and Nancy Gillen 30261982 for the following 4 children as well as a few more additional changes to the children's memorials.
Please add Preston/Presley Webb's 31620087 birth and death date per his death certificate: DC = Oct. 19, 1874 through April 5, 1942 and change his first name to Presley according to his early birth record (Presley Webb b. Nov. 22, 1874 to P. Webb and Nancy Gillen) and the 2 of 3 census records I can find him in (1880 and 1930) lists him as Presley. In 1900 he is seen as Press Webb b. Oct. 1873. He was named after his great grandpa, Presley Gillen. I don't know if Preston is possibly his middle name but it is only seen in his WW1 draft (b. Oct. 19, 1874) and death certificate. Please change his name, add dates, leave note about birth record, and add parents.
Nicholas Pleasant Webb 31619661. Please add middle name from WW2 draft registration and add parents per DC.
Joseph Webb 31275160 lists parents on DC. Please add parents.
Penelope "Nettie" Webb 57375440. Early birth record for Penelope Webb b. Jan. 8, 1869 to Pleasant Webb and Nancy Gillen. Can be seen as Penelope in the 1870 and 1880, then seen as Nep Webb on marriage to William "Spears" / Lewis in 1887, then Nettie Lewis in her census records thereafter. Dates from her death certificate lists that she was born Jan. 7, 1873 and death Dec. 24, 1922, parents Pleasant Webb and Nancy Pancake (Nancy's mom was a Pancake) So please change first name, add dates, add parents, and leave note about birth record for her.
I know that you have a photo request in for 2 Webbs. I am completely photographing Sugar Creek Cemetery and have not ran across a stone for either Preston/Presley or Nicholas, as of yet, and I have 2/3 of the cemetery finished. I am guessing that they are buried near their parents as there are several unmarked graves through there.

|Lee White||Clarence H. Townsend - 49943768|
I have just email you a copy of the record of deaths for Lawrence County, Ohio, which lists Clarence's middle name as Herbert.
Could you possibly add a note to Isaac Pancake #30824698's memorial? His death date on your memorial comes from his tombstone inscription. His actual death date is August 26, 1918 according to the Indigent Soldiers Burial record on file at Lawrence Co., Ohio courthouse, with the undertaker's bill dated August 28th and filed on Sept. 3rd. This date can be verified by his obit as well. The online death certificate index lists a death date of August 27, 1918, but if actually viewed it is the 26th.

Would you mind telling me why you declined to link John to his parents? On the pulldown menu you chose that it would erase correct information, and I don't see what would be wrong. You even have David and Mary as his parents in the biography you wrote. It seems whenever he himself would have given his name, David's name is spelled ROE on his official documents, and it's often Rowe when someone would have just written it the way they thought it should be spelled. That's the only thing I can see you might question. Is there something else?
