Bio Photo Along the Road
I walked a mile with Pleasure
She chattered all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow
And ne'er a word said she;
But oh, the things I learned from her
When Sorrow walked with me.

the fight between what she knew, what she felt and what she had to do
sometimes the hardest decisions are made under the moon

PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO CHANGE INFORMATION ON A MEMORIAL UNLESS YOU HAVE ACTUAL PROOF WITH ACTUAL DOCUMENTS!!!!
I am tired of some people saying he was a General, well no he was not, etc. When I place a memorial I place what I know as FACTS, not hearsay, not between dates, not about dates, etc.
Thank you for understanding this.

Hi,
I'm writing about Find A Grave Memorial# 18348008

The photo presented clearly shows the lettering on the stone indicating a death year of 1730. The original contributor indicated a death year of 1750 commenting:

"The year was read as 1750 by C. G. Chamberlayne in 1896 (per William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine, 1st ser., v. 5, p. 230; v. 6, p. 22).".

I'm sure that Chamberlayne misread the stone since it was at that time probably already very difficult to read as shown in the photo taken before it was cleaned. The post cleaning photo is clearly 1730 and could not by any stretch of the imagination be construed as 1750. This is a large dilemma since most of my sources on Sarah from Ancestry.com give her death date as 1777.

Thanks

Mary Catharine Branson
I have quite a bit of information on mary Catharine and her husband Isaac Chrisman , also son Jacob Chrisman and daughter Joist Hite but can not figure out how to get it to you via this venue

If you email vgray0@att.net I will send you a jpg.

It is from the book Millar-Du Bois Family History and Genealogy by Eva Millar Norse 1923.

RE: Magdalena Slyder Swartz
For some reason I did not see your note about Magdalena Slyder Swartz until today. I deleted my memorial and reattached John to his mother. I am descended from John as you guessed. Do you have any information about Magdalena Slyder's parents?

Sorry for the duplicate comments! My computer is acting funny this morning and when I edited/corrected my typo on the year of her death from 1694 to the correct year of 1684, it posted twice :-)

Agnes Hawthornthwaite - Memorial# 83039881
Hi! I left an edit for this memorial, but was not able to leave a message ~ I will be happy to send you a copy of the "Buryal" list for "Neshaminah" (Neshaminy) that verifies the burial date of Agnes (Hawthornthwaite) Croasdale as 20 Oct 1684 if you like. Her husband Thomas Croasdale and daughter Elizabeth are also noted on the same page from the Neshaminy (now Middletown) Meeting in Bucks County, PA. Thanks! Claudia

Barney Stagner in KY
Are you kin, or just have an interest in ol Barney? I could transfer to you if you like. Also, wondered if his last name should be changed to what he was born with so those researching their family might better find him, what do you think?

Cousin,

Looks great to me, nothing to add. If it's true, somewhat interesting that James has a twin brother, John, who perhaps is also buried on the farm.
